SO ready for this head ick to be done. Mornings are the worst for it as it collected in the sinuses and takes a while to drain. The rain ended up hitting about 6:30am yesterday morning but nicely did not hamper the day too much.

Shitty looking last stage to the Basque where an American won the stage but Seixas won the tour rather easily. Lots of rain looked like not much fun.

As @stryeyz and the boys went to town for packet pickup for jr Bloomsday I worked on my tires and got them inflated to the better 80psi since I could now use the floor pump.

The rain really hit then so my legs got moving on the trainer while I had stuff to watch on the tv.

I have had to up the size of my towel and even that gets soaked by the end of my spin.

This was my first 20+ mile trainer ride and I setup the trainer right this time from the beginning. It was free ride but the whole time so I got a better constant output.
My increased zone limits are much more in line with how I feel and it was quite cool to see the power zones after. Zone 3 HR and power for aerobic but I do need to start working on more threshold work.
Noon the main rain had passed and the family had returned. I got the trailer hooked up to the car and chainsaws loaded up. Then the boys and I headed up to haul wood.

I got them started moving the bucked logs to a stack by the trees while I got to work bucking all the longer logs down.

I started with the smaller pine and tossed all the logs into the trailer to move across the yard. It made it a lot easier on all of us.

I also bucked the fir tree logs down and the pile grew.

With the logs stacked the branches all got piled into the trailer. It was a rather tall stack that we managed to get most all the branches stuffed into. The ratchet strap held them all down really well. They were dragging off the back side but that was not a problem.

The rounds get to sit and season for the summer out of the way to hopefully be ready for her to burn this Fall and Winter.

Tried to cleanup the pine a bit better.

By 3pm we were back at the farm and the trailer had been unloaded to the burn pile. Very haphazardly but it got emptied. I was pretty tired and worn out thanks to this stupid head cold still lingering so my afternoon then was much more mellow.

Soaking was nice but quite hot and I got about half an hour before it was too much and I had to get out. I passed out right away when my head hit the pillow.

Watching Paris-Roubaix race now as Pogacar is doing what everyone expects of him, leading. The boys have the Jr Bloomsday race this morning, then they will help our neighbors haul branches for a while, then J has his first flag football practice and meet and greet this afternoon. I need to get a ride in as I can hit my halfway point to 1k miles easily, and my new shorts and jersey should arrive.
