The last couple weeks have been too busy in meatspace to contribute to #beersaturday but I am back in the saddle for Week 458. New or veteran, you are always welcome to pull up a pint and join @detlev and the gang at @detlev/beersaturday-458" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">https://peakd.com/hive-187719/@detlev/beersaturday-458 | @detlev/beersaturday-458" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">https://hive.blog//hive-187719/@detlev/beersaturday-458 with your post about beer.
In this 458th edition, I am chugging pints with the guys while doing guy stuff!

This week's Pint of the Week ticks the box of a pint on the town but also as one with the guys. One virtue of winter is having discovered an indoor golf place for the cold months. One virtue of golf is that it goes well with beer and this amber was delicious!

# Brewing Beers!

Another fun activity to do with the guys is brewing a batch of our own. For my newest followers, a few friends operate a garage brewery, brewing approx 60 litres of beer per week. This one is a Hazy New England IPA in the boil stage in the brewer.

Pulling from 1 of 7 traps in the brewery can get you pints of Golden Ale, Cream Ale, Amber, Fruited session, NEIPA, Alt, and white stout. I like to start off while brewing with the Irish Stout on nitro. We strive for Guinness as the model and it certainly cascades the same.

Once it settles out, time to see if we can split the G with the first sip and get back to brewing.

# Beers with the Team

Last weekend was a big one with our annual hockey tournament and stage show with the band. Plenty of miles to drive to jam with the guys and polish the songs we will be playing this weekend. I will have a report on that adventure for you this week.

Luckily no gratuitous nudity in the dressing room which just happens to be one of the best beers you can have. After a tough game, win or lose, cracking a pint in the room while getting out of your equipment and talking about the game is the best.

Another good use for ice, besides chilling the beer, is to reduce the swelling on some of those sore spots like the hand that blocked the slap shot. A little beer will put out that fire.

Whole foods and simple ingredients!
Now it is time for you to join me, @detlev , and these other beerologists because there is always room for more beer bloggers at the Beer Saturday gathering... @detlev/beersaturday-458" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">https://peakd.com/hive-187719/@detlev/beersaturday-458 | @detlev/beersaturday-458" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">https://hive.blog//hive-187719/@detlev/beersaturday-458 Cheers to beers we share with our peeps!!
