Keeping the Love Alive - Air Supply (Cover) by @yisusth

A big hug to everyone in this beautiful #Music community. I have the pleasure of performing with my trumpet «Keeping the Love Alive», a song that mixes genres like soft rock and pop rock composed by Richard Supa. The lyrics talk about the fear of loving again, how this feeling is a conscious decision, and about not giving up in the face of difficulties. Air Supply is one of my favorite bands, and there are several iconic songs that I love. Many of those ballads appeared in movies in the 1980s. I perform this piece in the key of G major with a slight change at the end to Bb major. The rhythm is moderate, steady, and with a time signature of 4/4. The melody is beautiful, simple but expressively romantic. The timbre of Russell Hitchcock's clean and melancholic voice sounds incredible. Undoubtedly, a memorable classic.

Un gran abrazo para todos en esta bella comunidad de #Music. Tengo el agrado de interpretar con mi trompeta «Keeping the Love Alive», una canción que mezcla géneros como el soft rock y el pop rock compuesta por Richard Supa. La letra habla del miedo de volver amar, de como este sentimiento es una decisión consciente, y de no rendirse ante las dificultades. Air Supply es una de mis bandas favoritas y hay varios temas icónicos que me encantan. Muchas de esas baladas aparecían en películas en la década de los 80. Esta pieza la interpreto en la tonalidad de G mayor con un ligero cambio al final a Bb mayor. El ritmo es moderado, constante y con una cifra indicadora de compas de 4/4. La melodía es hermosa, sencilla pero expresivamente romántica. Es increíble como suena el timbre de voz limpio y melancólico de Russell Hitchcock. Sin duda, un clásico inolvidable.

Recently I have seen how some young people act impulsively, without measuring the consequences. Some friends had a motorcycle accident. They were coming on the highway at night and lost control of the motorcycle and crashed into a vehicle. One of them lost his life, and the other is fighting for his life in a hospital in intensive care. It has been completely painful to see the suffering and sacrifices of the family. In both trivial and important matters, we must not forget that prudence is a way of acting wisely. Prudence helps us forge our character. Listening to and following the advice of those who have lived longer than us is key. Music also has its risks, and we must listen to it with moderation and respect. One chooses to listen to music at the right amount and in the right place. If it makes us lose concentration on our path, perhaps we fall into a sewer from which we cannot get out. Blessings to all.

Recientemente he visto como algunas personas jóvenes actúan impulsivamente, y sin medir las consecuencias. Unos amigos tuvieron un accidente en una motocicleta. Ellos venían de noche por la autopista y perdieron el control de la moto y chocaron con un vehículo. Uno de ellos perdió la vida, y el otro se debate su vida en un hospital en cuidados intensivos. Ha sido totalmente doloroso ver el sufrimiento y los sacrificios de la familia. Tanto en lo trivial como lo importante, no hay que olvidarse que la prudencia es una manera de actuar sabiamente. La prudencia nos ayuda a forjar nuestro carácter. Escuchar y seguir los consejos de los que han vivido mas que nosotros es clave. La música también tiene sus riesgos y debemos escucharla con moderación y respeto. Uno escoge escuchar música en el monto y el lugar oportuno. Si nos hace perder la concentración de nuestro trayecto quizás caigamos en una alcantarilla del cual no podamos salir. Bendiciones para todos.
