A Travel Story Of Finding Sandira Beach, Bantayan's Hidden Coastal Escape

After Kota Park, we decided to rest somewhere, but not in the inn we rented, but somewhere peaceful and cool. Hence, we decided a beach somewhere would meet our desire to do so, and later found Sandira Beach, which we learned is so popular and the most perfect beach in Bantayan, during our faithful roam around the island.

After a long ride and roam, and after passing by stretches of long coconut trees and silent roads, we reached the boulevard and a narrow pathway that leads to the entrance of Sandira Beach. At first, we were doubtful of where we were at that time, since we had found many ways and no longer knew. Fortunately, we took the one in front of us instead of the others, and reached Sandira. There were no tourists along the way also, since this place is so peaceful that there is no sign of a beach that looks like paradise lying here.

The entrance of Sandira captured my interest. You see, beaches like this really interest me, knowing they have maintained the natural environment, like the different species of trees, and included it in the tourism quality of the beach. They respect nature and deserve to be known by many tourists. Guards and the front desk will greet you, and you'll do the inquiry there. The beach is open from 8 in the morning to 5 in the afternoon, not earlier and not beyond.

There were many cacti inside upon entering the area of Sandira. They are not just for display; tourists carve their names on the cactus, and they dry out and last as long as the plant lives. We had our names carved on it, and when we come back to the island soon, we'll try to find it, hoping our names are still engraved therein.

Moving forward to the beach, we witnessed a very long stretch of fine powdery sand of Sandira Beach and its stunning water that is so clear and blue. Many rock formations on the sand stand there, and green landscapes add details to the beach. Rock formations dominate the area where tourists make use of them as a space for a secluded seaside experience.

Many swimmers were bringing their fishing tools to catch fish since the water here is rich in many aquamarine species, mostly fish good to cook, and they caught plenty of them. Swimming around the water for one hour was a perfect experience to see many types of fish swimming under our legs. The water is also rich in green algae and aquamarine plants since it brings more life for fish.

We were there for two hours, witnessing the beauty of Sandira Beach. Many cottages were installed on the northern part of the beach, some huts, and some makeshift watch spots made of wood. I enjoyed roaming around, feeling the breeze of the beach and having the rays of the sun gently touching our faces as we closed the day. We slept on the sand for minutes before leaving the beach, and it was a good power nap.

Sandira Beach, also known as Paradise Beach, is one of those quiet treasures of Bantayan Island that remains simple yet unforgettable. With its limited hours and preserved surroundings, it offers a peaceful escape for those who truly want to slow down, breathe in the sea breeze, and experience the island in its most natural and calming form.
