Bad Luck or Good Luck?

A handful of days ago, Clare noticed that our car was nearing a very special mileage. Then, on a recent drive, when we had just left home, I pointed out to her that we had reached this magical number...
Clare stopped the car at the side of the road and took the attached photo of the odometer registering 66666 miles.
While many of us - the me of the past included - will probably associate this with the mark of the beast ( 666 ), Clare and I felt that these five sixes in a row were very powerful, in a positive way.
We felt it was a significant moment in time.
In fact, I just looked it up online and discovered the following:
It is indeed considered a very positive sign. It is the angel number and is seen as higher powers/ the divine reaching out to us.
It is, apparently, connected to unconditional love, as well as to luck and fortune and positive change. Others say that it is connected to wealth, abundance and prosperity.
In all honesty, the more I look into it, the more different meanings I find for it. So, if you're interested to find out more, I suggest doing your own research.
The point I want to drive home here though pun intended is that, in the end, it's all about your mindset.
There are still people who/ sources that connect this number to darkness, evil, etc. It has been used plenty in horror movies in the past ( one of the more famous one is 'The Omen' ). That is, three sixes in a row.
But, as with everything, in the end it is all about your perspective, your mindset.
Take for instance the heavy rain that we endured here, in Molise, Italy. A handful of days with almost non stop heavy rain lead to a lot of infrastructural damage in the region, destroying bridges, roads, etc. It led to landslides with earthquake like 'damage' on our land. It had a serious impact on our olivegrove and the earth cracked open, stopping only a couple of dozen meters from our house.
But - nevertheless - @clareartista and I decided to see it as a positive. It literally opened up new possibiliities for us. Not only did it show us all the clay we have underneath our top soil, it also literally opened up the seams, making it easier to reach. We are planning to use this as a natural building material and - as an experiment - started plastering a(n open) doorway inside our house with it. It ended up cracking, as it probably didn't have the right dry-/wetness but it felt exciting, nevertheless.
More on that dramatic but - in our eyes - positive change of our land can be read in Clare's write up: @clareartista/the-earth-moved" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">The Earth Moved and my previous blog post @vincentnijman/how-five-days-of-rain" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">How five days of rain changed our land majorly over night
Comunque/ anyhow, I guess that the same can be said about my hair, these days. Whether we like it or not is a matter of perspective. Clare loves it to be curly and wild. The following photo shows what it looked like, days ago, after I took my cap off. I still have to get used to its wildness but thought it might put a smile on your face. And - in the end - if I can make at least a single person feel better, every single day, that is the least I can do.
Keep your head up. The world isn't ending. It's just changing.
