Hello, film lovers!
I hope you’re all well. Today I’m here to recommend a film that’s a bit bizarre but quite funny, which I watched recently; it’s one of those films where you can just sit back, have a laugh and enjoy yourself for a while, with plenty of action and laughs thanks to the sheer madness of the situation. The film is called: Pretty lethal.
The story is about a group of five young dancers with quite different personalities, who, along with their coach, travel to Hungary to take part in a prestigious dance competition. Unfortunately, the coach breaks down halfway there, so they end up taking refuge in the strange, dark and menacing inn run by Devora Kaisimer. It is worth noting that the inn is a haunt for gangsters and underworld criminals, where tourists never leave.
So, from the moment the dancers enter and witness the brutal murder of their coach, the plot turns into a fight for survival, where the dancers will use their years of training, pain and technique to take down Devora and the criminals staying there.
Something I really enjoyed, apart from seeing Uma Thurman in the role of the ruthless Devora Kaisimer, were the much-anticipated ballet choreographies adapted for combat, where the standout was undoubtedly the actress and professional dancer Maddie Ziegler (she performed the most complicated ballet steps).
The film made me laugh a lot, because it’s a light-hearted thriller, fast-paced and very funny. It has a style of dark elegance, but with blood and violence. The film repeatedly emphasises the discipline and demands of ballet, talking about obsession, envy and the pressure to be perfect—and, if not, to be broken.
The scenes are explosive, the characters eccentric, with razor blades in their ballet shoes and dancers who just wanted to go to a competition; it turns into sequences of non-stop action, funny scenes with black humour and an entertaining film to watch.
Overall, I quite liked it; it was entertaining and fun to watch, especially because of the dancers. Because of Bones’s leadership and strength, Princess’s arrogance, the protective Zoe, the wild Chloe and the very religious Grace.

Espero que se encuentren bien. Hoy les vengo a recomendar una película un poco bizarra pero bastante graciosa que vi hace poco; es de esas películas para sentarse, reírse y entretenerse un rato, con acción y risas por lo alocado de la situación. Esta película se llama: Lindas y letales.
La historia trata de un grupo de 5 jóvenes bailarinas con personalidades bastante diferentes, quienes junto a su entrenadora viajan a Hungría para asistir a un prestigioso concurso de danza. Por desgracia, el autobús se avería a medio camino, por lo que terminan refugiándose en la extraña, oscura y amenazante posada de Devora Kaisimer. Cabe destacar que la posada es una posada frecuentada por mafiosos y criminales del bajo mundo, donde los turistas no vuelven a salir.
Por lo que, a partir de que las bailarinas entran y presencian el cruel asesinato de su entrenadora, la trama se transforma en una lucha por la supervivencia, donde las bailarinas usarán sus años de entrenamiento, dolor y técnica para acabar con Devora y los criminales que se hospedan ahí.
Algo que me gustó mucho, aparte de ver a Uma Thurman en el papel de la despiadada Devora Kaisimer, fueron las esperadas coreografías de ballet adaptadas al combate, donde la evidentemente más destacada fue la actriz y bailarina profesional Maddie Ziegler (ella hizo los pasos de ballet más complicados).
La película me hizo reír mucho, porque es un thriller ligero, rápido en acción y muy gracioso. Con un estilo de elegancia oscura, pero con sangre y violencia. La película hace énfasis en repetidas ocasiones en la disciplina y exigencias del ballet, hablando de obsesión, envidia y presión por ser perfectas y, si no, estar rotas.
Las escenas son explosivas, los personajes excéntricos, con cuchillas en las zapatillas de ballet y bailarinas que solo querían ir a un concurso; se transforma en secuencias de acción constante, escenas graciosas con humor negro y una película entretenida para ver.
En general, me gustó bastante; fue entretenida y divertida de ver, sobre todo por las bailarinas. Por el liderazgo y fuerza de Bones, la arrogancia de Princess, la protectora Zoe, la desatada Chloe y la muy religiosa Grace.
