Hoy, en este sábado de @lanzjoseg/concurso-observa-piensa-escribe-871c4df0eab36" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">Observa, Piensa y Escribe, vuelvo a detenerme un momento para mirar con calma una imagen que, a simple vista, puede parecer cualquier cosa, pero que cuando la observas bien, te saca una sonrisa y te deja pensando. Un agradecimiento especial al prof. @lanzjoseg por mantener viva esta bonita iniciativa que nos invita a ver más allá de lo evidente.
La fotografía de hoy me hizo pensar de inmediato en esa forma tan nuestra, tan venezolana, de sacarle algo a cualquier cosa. Porque donde muchos solo ven un carro viejo en la vía, uno ve esa frase y de una se ríe, esa picardía, ese humor, esa manera de tomarse la vida con un poquito más de ligereza, incluso en medio de las dificultades. Y la verdad, eso dice mucho de nosotros. 🇻🇪
Al ver esta imagen, uno no puede evitar detenerse un momento y observarla con calma. Ese Jeep de otra época, firme, recorriendo la carretera, con ese sonido que uno casi puede imaginar solo con verlo, llevando historia en cada kilómetro. Y si te fijas bien, detrás del volante se alcanza a ver la silueta de un señor mayor, como si fuera un hombre que ha vivido, que ha recorrido caminos, que no está apurado, sino que simplemente sigue avanzando. Ese detalle le da aún más fuerza a la escena, porque no es solo un vehículo, es una historia rodando. Y por si fuera poco, esa placa, ese estilo, ese aire, tiene ese sello venezolano que uno reconoce de inmediato, como si dijera sin hablar de dónde viene y qué representa. 🇻🇪
Y entonces lees el letrero, “Soy un vagabundo romántico, Latin lover viudo”, y ahí es donde todo cambia, porque pasas de observar a conectar. Esa frase no es casual, eso es pura calle, pura picardía, pura forma venezolana de ver la vida. Porque nosotros somos así, le ponemos humor a todo, incluso a lo que puede tener fondo serio. Y cuando aparece esa parte de “Latin lover”, de inmediato me lleva a esos años donde la música era parte de todo, a la canción de Malanga, "El Latin Lover", que marcó una época con su estilo, su energía, su forma de contar historias. Era una canción que sonaba y de una te atrapaba, que formó parte de una generación y que hoy, al leer esa frase en ese carro, vuelve a la memoria como si el tiempo no hubiera pasado. 💛
Pero luego está esa otra parte que dice “soy un vagabundo”, y ahí la cosa toma otro sentido, más profundo. Porque no se trata solo de una frase graciosa, también conecta con esa idea de vida en movimiento, de no quedarse quieto, de buscar siempre algo más. Y allí no puedo dejar de pensar en la canción "Aventurero", del cantante y compositor colombiano Yeison Jiménez, quien lamentablemente falleció en un accidente de tránsito, paz a sus restos y mis condolencias a su familia. Esa canción habla justamente de eso, de ese espíritu de seguir adelante, de vivir sin ataduras, de recorrer caminos. Y de alguna manera, ese hombre al volante, en ese Jeep, con ese letrero atrás, parece representar exactamente eso, un aventurero, alguien que sigue su rumbo sin importar lo que digan, alguien que va escribiendo su propia historia en la carretera.
Al final, esta imagen es una mezcla perfecta de todo, de humor, de música, de nostalgia y de identidad. Es ese reflejo de lo que somos, de cómo incluso en medio de cualquier situación, encontramos una forma de expresarnos, de hacer reír, de conectar. Porque eso es ser venezolano, es llevar esa chispa, esa creatividad, esa manera tan única de ver la vida. Y ver ese Jeep rodando, con ese mensaje atrás, con ese conductor que parece haber vivido de todo, es como ver una historia en movimiento, una historia que no necesita muchas palabras para decirlo todo. Porque entre crisis y risas, seguimos siendo nosotros, con nuestra esencia intacta y con esas ganas de seguir adelante que no se apagan. 🇻🇪💛
Y así, entre risas, recuerdos y ese toque tan nuestro, me quedo con lo que realmente importa, esa capacidad de ver la vida con humor, de no perder la chispa y de seguir adelante sin dejar de ser quienes somos.

Today, in this Saturday of @lanzjoseg/concurso-observa-piensa-escribe-871c4df0eab36" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">Observe, Think and Write, I take a moment once again to calmly look at an image that, at first glance, may seem like anything, but when you really observe it, it makes you smile and gets you thinking. A special thanks to Prof. @lanzjoseg for keeping this beautiful initiative alive, inviting us to see beyond the obvious.
Today’s photograph immediately made me think about that very ours, very Venezuelan way of getting something out of anything. Because where many only see an old car on the road, we see that phrase and instantly laugh, that wit, that humor, that way of taking life a little lighter, even in the middle of difficulties. And honestly, that says a lot about who we are. 🇻🇪
When you look at this image, you can’t help but pause for a moment and observe it carefully. That Jeep from another era, strong, moving along the road, with that sound you can almost imagine just by looking at it, carrying history in every kilometer. And if you look closely, behind the wheel you can see the silhouette of an older man, as if he were someone who has lived, who has traveled many roads, who is not in a hurry, but simply keeps moving forward. That detail gives even more strength to the scene, because it is not just a vehicle, it is a story in motion. And as if that were not enough, that license plate, that style, that presence, has that Venezuelan touch that you recognize immediately, as if it were saying without words where it comes from and what it represents. 🇻🇪
And then you read the sign, “I am a romantic vagabond, a widowed Latin lover,” and that is where everything changes, because you go from observing to connecting. That phrase is not random, that is pure street, pure wit, pure Venezuelan way of seeing life. Because we are like that, we put humor into everything, even into things that may have a deeper meaning. And when that "El Latin Lover" part appears, it immediately takes me back to those years when music was everything, to the song by Malanga, “El Latin Lover”, which marked an era with its style, its energy, its way of telling stories. It was a song that would play and instantly grab you, that became part of a generation, and that today, just by reading that phrase on that car, comes back to memory as if time had not passed. 💛
But then there is that other part that says “I am a vagabond” and that is where things take on a deeper meaning. Because it is not just a funny phrase, it also connects with that idea of a life in motion, of not standing still, of always looking for something more. And at that moment I can’t help but think of the song "Aventurero", by the Colombian singer and songwriter Yeison Jiménez, who sadly passed away in a traffic accident, may he rest in peace and my condolences to his family. That song speaks exactly about that, about that spirit of moving forward, of living without attachments, of traveling through life. And somehow, that man behind the wheel, in that Jeep, with that sign on the back, seems to represent exactly that, an adventurer, someone who follows his path no matter what others say, someone who is writing his own story on the road.
In the end, this image is a perfect mix of everything, of humor, music, nostalgia, and identity. It is a reflection of who we are, of how even in the middle of any situation, we find a way to express ourselves, to make people laugh, to connect. Because that is what being Venezuelan is, carrying that spark, that creativity, that unique way of seeing life. And seeing that Jeep moving forward, with that message on the back, with that driver who seems to have lived through it all, is like watching a story in motion, a story that does not need many words to say everything. Because between crisis and laughter, we continue to be who we are, with our essence intact and with that desire to keep moving forward that never fades. 🇻🇪💛
And so, between laughter, memories, and that very ours touch, I hold on to what truly matters, that ability to see life with humor, to not lose the spark, and to keep moving forward without stopping being who we are.
