a moody yet calm, morning at the port
Good Morning and have a good weekend
Today I will share a few shots taken on walks around the port here in New Bedford,
Mostly on foggy or misty and moody mornings, its funny when I go to most spots for morning walks I hope for a nice morning with some colors at sunrise, but the port, I actually enjoy going to on the more moody mornings. I think it adds to the feel and the photos I get walking around there.
Not saying I don't mind or am not glad to capture a nice sunrise at the port, it's just before heading out when I check the weather apps, if it looks like it's going to be a foggy or dull morning I may often decide to head to the port, the other reason I often pickthe port to go to is if i am running a bit late the port is the closest spot to get to for me for morning walks.
But as I was saying I do like the port on the more moody or foggy mornings, it gives a cool, surreal and almost mysterious feel to some of the shots I get on those days
such as this first shot, where the boats almost disappear into the fog

Or similar in this one, and although with the long exposure the water looks kind of still clearly it wasnt that still with the blur on the green boat on the right, but that almost adds to the mysterious feel I think

and some morning the fog or mist clears away as the sun rises, giving a different feel to the images I capture

and a last shot to finish off the post

And that’s all folks
