Greetings, dear friends of this wonderful community.
I sincerely hope you have a great start to the week—the kind that begins with positive energy, clear goals, and a willingness to make the most of every day. I always tell you to be productive, but also to find little moments for yourselves, because balance is what makes it all worthwhile. For me, this week promises just as much—or even more—than the one that just ended. We already know it’s going to be a busy week, with several pending tasks and, of course, that paperwork that always stresses me out a little, but is very necessary. That’s why, on Sunday afternoon, we decided to take a breather before the routine began. We went for a walk along El Tirano Beach, one of my favorites because of its lively atmosphere, its energy, and that special way it has of bringing us peace just by looking at the sea. We left the house around four in the afternoon, after spending a quiet and relaxed day. My father came to visit, and we had lunch together, so the house was filled with that comforting family warmth. It was a simple day, but one of those that feels complete. When we arrived at the beach, the sea was a little choppy, but there were still quite a few people enjoying the afternoon. Some were in the water, while others were simply sitting on the shore, letting the breeze do its thing. Further along, a group was playing bola criolla, a classic game that’s always present on beaches with a family-friendly atmosphere.

Deseo de corazón que tengan un lindo inicio de semana, de esos que comienzan con buena energía, con metas claras y con la disposición de aprovechar cada día al máximo. Siempre les digo que sean productivos, pero también que encuentren pequeños momentos para ustedes, porque el equilibrio es lo que hace que todo valga la pena. Para mí, esta semana promete tanto o incluso más que la que acaba de terminar. Ya sabemos de antemano que será una semana cargada de trabajo, con varias tareas pendientes y, por supuesto, con ese papeleo que siempre me estresa un poco, pero es muy necesario. Por eso, el domingo en la tarde decidimos darnos un respiro antes de que comenzara la rutina. Nos fuimos a dar un recorrido por Playa El Tirano, una de mis favoritas por su ambiente dinámico, su energía y esa manera tan especial que tiene de regalarnos paz con solo mirar el mar. Salimos de casa cerca de las cuatro de la tarde, después de haber pasado un día tranquilo y relajado. Tuvimos la visita de mi padre y almorzamos juntos, así que la casa estuvo llena de ese calorcito familiar que tanto reconforta. Fue un día sencillo, pero de esos que se sienten completos. Cuando llegamos a la playa, el mar tenía un poco de oleaje, pero aun así había varias personas disfrutando de la tarde. Algunos estaban en el agua, otros simplemente sentados en la orilla dejando que la brisa hiciera lo suyo. Más allá, un grupo jugaba bola criolla, un clásico que nunca falta en las playas donde reina el ambiente familiar.

This part of Playa El Tirano is always bustling, and it’s no coincidence. It’s an area where many fishing families live, and that gives it a special charm—an authentic, down-to-earth atmosphere, full of stories and everyday life. Many people love coming here precisely for that reason—for the blend of tradition, joy, and simplicity that permeates every corner.

Esta parte de Playa El Tirano siempre está muy concurrida, y no es casualidad. Es una zona donde viven muchas familias de pescadores, y eso le da un toque especial; un ambiente auténtico, cercano, lleno de historias y de vida cotidiana. A muchos les encanta venir justamente por eso, por esa mezcla de tradición, alegría y sencillez que se respira en cada rincón.

One thing we always love is the number of palm trees that line the beach. They give it a beautiful tropical feel, as if nature had decided to decorate the place with the finest taste. And, of course, there’s the view of the majestic Guayamurí, which can be seen from different spots along the beach. But my favorite view is from the end of El Tirano, where the mountain stands in all its glory, imposing, with its peak caressed by the clouds. Sometimes it looks as if it’s wearing a white cap—elegant and natural—as if the mountain had dressed up especially for those of us watching it.

Algo que siempre nos encanta es la cantidad de palmeras que adornan la playa. Le dan un aire tropical precioso, como si la naturaleza hubiera decidido decorar el lugar con su mejor gusto. Y, por supuesto, está la vista del majestuoso Guayamurí, que puede apreciarse desde distintos puntos de la playa. Pero mi vista favorita es la del final de El Tirano, donde el cerro se observa completo, imponente, con su cima acariciada por las nubes. A veces parece que llevara un gorro blanco, elegante y natural, como si la montaña se arreglara especialmente para quienes la miramos.

With those images etched not only in our eyes but also in our hearts, we set off on our journey home. We were relaxed, with lighter hearts and that sense of well-being that only the places we love can give us. It was the perfect way to wrap things up and get ready for a new week of work, responsibilities, and, of course, new opportunities. I’ll see you very soon in another post.
