Getting ready for Mother's Day, and wanting to give a nice little something to some of my friends and family, I've been thinking about those simple things that women appreciate. That's why I thought of a gift like a skincare soap, something we always appreciate for its benefits. To make it even more special, a soap box can add that special and fun touch, perfect for celebrating Mother's Day. I created this template from scratch using the Pro version of the Canva app. I'm sharing the template with you, which you can copy onto the back of cardstock or printed digital paper. Welcome!

Preparándome para el Día de las Madres, poder darle un detalle bonito a algunas de mis amigas y familiares, he tenido en cuenta algunas ideas sobre esas cositas sencillas que apreciamos las mujeres, por eso pensé en un detalle como un jabón para el Skin Care, el cual por sus beneficios siempre agradecemos. Para hacerlo más especial, una Caja para Jabón puede ayudarnos a darle ese toque especial y divertido, para felicitarnos en nuestro Día de las Madres. First, here's a free template for this box, which is really the main material. You can create a digital design from it or simply cut it out of cardstock to have the entire structure.

Primero, aquí tienes de regalo la Plantilla de esta Caja, que realmente es el principal material. A partir de ella se puede crear un diseño digital o simplemente la recortas sobre una cartulina para tener toda la estructura.

First, I created the template in Canva. This is a flat, rectangular box design, to which tabs are added for connecting and gluing the pieces.

Primero realicé la plantilla en Canva. Este es un diseño de caja rectangular y plana, a la cual se le adiciona las pestañas por donde se conectan y pegan las piezas.

I added a heart wallpaper, which I really liked. I selected the areas on the box design where I would place the wallpaper, and I filled the tabs with the design colors. I selected an image or illustration of a girl washing her face; I thought it was cute since it fits perfectly with the gift concept.

Agregué un Wallpaper de corazones, que me gustó mucho Seleccioné las áreas en el diseño de la caja donde colocaría el wallpaper, y las pestañas las rellené con los colores del diseño Seleccioné una imagen o ilustración de una chica lavándose la cara, me pareció simpático ya que cuadra perfecto con el concepto del regalo.

I experimented with the image's placement within the design, and I also considered adding some text with a fun message, but I confess that in the end I decided against it. I planned to crop the girl's image later and overlay it on the box, as it adds more visual interest and dimension. I also incorporated a rectangle into the design, on the box lid, to create a viewing window.

Fui jugando con la ubicación de la imagen dentro del diseño, y también pensé en colocar unas letras con un mensaje divertido, pero les confieso que al final decidí no colocar el texto, y la imagen de la chica la recortaría más adelante para sobreponerla en la caja, ya que le agrega más interés y dimensión. También agregué un rectángulo en el diseño, en la tapa de la caja, con la intención de hacer un visor.

I printed it on a paper called Opaline, which is a type of cardstock. I cut the straight outer lines using a ruler and craft knife. I cut the small slits between the tabs using small scissors. I scored all the lines that would be the folds of the design with an awl.

Los doblez los marco con un punzón y una regla, aquí se los muestro más de cerca. Doblo todas las piezas según el diseño Recorto el rectángulo para formar el visor de la caja Pego todas las pestañas siguiendo el diseño o armado, utilizando silicón líquido

I made this cut in the box tray to make it easier to open. I cut out the illustration of the girl, leaving a small border around it, and glued it to the box over the window that will be the viewfinder in the design. I placed a piece of clear acetate on the inside of the viewfinder.

Realicé este corte en la bandeja de la caja, para facilitar cuando se vaya a abrir La ilustración de la chica la corté dejando un pequeño borde a su alrededor, y la pegué en la caja sobre la ventana que será el visor en el diseño Coloqué en parte interna del visor, un trozo de acetato transparente.

This box is ready, it's very easy and quick, what really takes me the most time is the design of the box itself in the Canva app, then you can print as many sheets as boxes you want and the assembly is very quick, and it's my favorite part.

Esta Caja está lista, es muy fácil y rápido, realmente lo que me lleva más tiempo es el propio diseño de la caja en la app de Canva, luego se pueden imprimir tantas hojas como cajas desees y el armado es muy rápido, y es mi parte favorita.

This box is the ideal size for its function; a round soap fits perfectly. It is wrapped in tissue paper or other paper and tied with a small piece of jute. This is totally optional, but it adds a lot of style.

Esta caja tiene un tamaño ideal para su función, cabe perfectamente un jabón redondo, que se envuelve en papel de seda u otro papel y se ata con un trocito de yute, esto es totalmente opcional, pero le da mucho estilo.

I really liked this idea for my soap boxes; I perfectly imagined having a bag with all these little boxes prepared and ready to give as gifts on that special day.

Esta idea de mis Cajas para jabón, realmente me gustó, me imaginé perfectamente tener una bolsa con todas estas cajitas preparadas y listas para obsequiar en ese día tan especial.
