Espero que se encuentren todas muy bien. Hoy me paso por acá para participar de las preguntas de la semana de la mano de @ifarmgirl con temas variados para compartir. ##### ***Estás en una fiesta y alguien está diciendo comentarios despectivos (o cosas negativas) sobre ti. ¿Cómo lo afrontarías o qué harías?*** Antes seguro me hubiera quedado callada porque no me gusta la confrontación, pero ahora me lo pensaría dos veces. Si estamos en una fiesta el sentido sería estar divirtiéndonos, si vas para escupir veneno ya sea de mí u otra persona pensaría en que no sos alguien que quiera tener en mi círculo íntimo. Así que pueden pasar dos cosas, no hago nada y fingo indiferencia porque de verdad no me interesa discutir con esta persona, o puede que me enoje mucho y le termine plantando cara. Siempre desde el lado del respeto, jamás me pelearía con alguien, y soy de evitar discusiones, pero eso no quiere decir que me deje pisotear por el otro y mucho menos cuando no corresponde. Como soy muy observadora y tengo mi lado calculador y vengativo seguro que para ese punto ya haya descubierto alguna debilidad o punto débil de esta persona. Si me siento atacada puedo usar esa arma a mi favor y devolver el golpe de manera elegante, ya sea diciendo algún comentario que le baje los humos, o si estoy muy anojada salen más hirientes. Pero no creo que llegue a tanto, así que con alguna contestación ingeniosa creo que estaré bien. Me las apañaría por ese lado, y si me siento incomoda en el ambiente o ya no se siente igual luego de eso, me iría para mi casa y listo. Ya no estoy en edad de aguantar cosas que no quiero y no tengo porque hacerlo. Si aún no lo eres, comparte cómo te imaginas como suegra en el futuro.*** No soy suegra, ni tengo hijos todavía y a este punto no sé si lo sea alguna vez. Vamos a confiar en que sí. Me gustaría imaginarme como una suegra comprensiva, vi varias que son muy malas y no entiendo el motivo, sé que es complicado en ocasiones, pero veo que pasa mucho con suegras de mujeres. Que estas suelen hacerles la vida imposible a sus nueras y lo entendería si se tratatan de malas mujeres, pero vi casos extremos de mujeres muy buenas que sus suegras las tratan muy mal. Me enoja mucha esa situación, no me toco vivirla todavía por suerte. Pero no me quiero imaginar en esa situación, y no quiero ser ese tipo de suegra. I hope you are all doing well. Today I'm stopping by to participate in this week's question with @ifarmgirl, covering a variety of topics. ##### ***You are at a party, and someone is saying derogatory remarks (or negative things) about you. How would you deal with it, or what would you do?*** Before, I probably would have stayed quiet because I don't like confrontation, but now I'd think twice. If we're at a party, the point is to have fun. If you're there to spew venom, whether about me or someone else, I'd think you're not someone I want in my inner circle. So, two things can happen: I can do nothing and feign indifference because I genuinely have no interest in arguing with this person, or I might get really angry and end up confronting them. Always from a place of respect; I would never fight with anyone, and I tend to avoid arguments, but that doesn't mean I'll let others walk all over me, especially not when it's inappropriate. Since I'm very observant and have a calculating and vengeful side, I'm sure that by that point I'll have already discovered some weakness or vulnerability in this person. If I feel attacked, I can use that to my advantage and return the favor elegantly, either by making a comment that deflates their ego, or, if I'm really angry, something more cutting. But I don't think it will come to that, so a witty comeback should be enough. I'd manage that way, and if I feel uncomfortable in the atmosphere or if things don't feel the same after that, I'll just go home. I'm not at an age where I have to put up with things I don't want to and shouldn't have to. Let's hope so. I'd like to imagine myself as an understanding mother-in-law. I've seen several who are very bad, and I don't understand why. I know it's complicated sometimes, but I see it happening a lot with mothers-in-law of women. They tend to make life impossible for their daughters-in-law, and I would understand if they were bad women, but I've seen extreme cases of very good women who are treated very badly by their mothers-in-law.
