It started with me waking from a short nap. Realized the wifey wasn't in the house. Looked out back and there she was. Dumping dirt in holes. There was more outside the frame of the shots. A backhoe has nothing on Lilly. It was a real nice day for lugging around bags of fill dirt and seed. We got the holes filled and seeded. Felt good to knock it out. Then came the hard part. Keeping her from digging again in the fresh filled holes. We made a trip to Lowe's lawn and garden section. Bought some sections of that temporary plastic garden fence and some stakes. Put that in for a temporary barrier for now. Will it hold? We'll see. We hope she grows out of this soon. Some dogs do. Some don't. My father in law thinks it's because we used to have a mole digging in the yard last year. That I'm not so sure of. Pretty sure she just likes to dig. Some dogs chase balls. Some dogs bark at everything. Ours excavates. She's lucky she's cute. The holes are filled. The fence is up. The seed is down. Now we wait and see if grass grows faster than Lilly's desire to destroy it. I'm not optimistic.
