A few weeks ago, I had the opportunity to attend the "Silver Without a Tie" conference. It's a series of conferences held in different cities across the country, organized by various brands. The Chamber of Electronic Commerce leads this conference series through its Silver sub-directorate, which focuses on the development, training, and promotion of entrepreneurship among people over 50, an important segment of the country's population. In past decades, people of that age were retired, but the world changes, circumstances change, and in this country, adapting seems difficult, not only because of the political and social situation, but also because of the education system. The over-50 segment of the population is one of the most active and knowledgeable, so these conferences aim to give them the recognition they deserve in the country's economic development. ---- > Hace unas semanas tuve la oportunidad de asistir a la conferencia "Silver sin corbata". Se trata de una serie de conferencias que se celebran en diferentes ciudades del país, organizadas por diversas marcas. > La Cámara de Comercio Electrónico lidera esta serie de conferencias a través de su subdirección Plata, que se centra en el desarrollo, la formación y la promoción del emprendimiento entre las personas mayores de 50 años, un segmento importante de la población del país. > En décadas pasadas, las personas de esa edad estaban jubiladas, pero el mundo cambia, las circunstancias cambian y, en este país, parece difícil adaptarse, no solo por la situación política y social, sino también por el sistema educativo. The event was held in the ballrooms of the Tiffany Hotel. Invitations were sent out weeks in advance. Registration was required via a link on the website, and attendees received a QR code to show at the entrance. Those who didn't have time to register could complete their information that same day. The event featured sponsoring brands, including Banco Plaza, which had a booth promoting express accounts. I've had an account with this bank for a while, but I hardly ever use it. They only have one branch in the city, and I haven't had time to apply for a debit card. Many interested people attended this important conference. Afterward, an evening party was held on the hotel terrace, hosted by NC Music. ---- > El evento se celebró en los salones de baile del Hotel Tiffany. La invitación se envió con semanas de antelación. Era necesario registrarse a través de un enlace en la página web, y los asistentes recibieron un código QR para mostrar en la entrada. Quienes no tuvieron tiempo de registrarse pudieron completar sus datos ese mismo día. > El evento contó con la presencia de marcas patrocinadoras, entre ellas Banco Plaza, que tenía un stand promocionando cuentas express. Tengo una cuenta en este banco desde hace tiempo, pero casi nunca la uso. Solo tienen una sucursal en la ciudad y no he tenido tiempo de solicitar una tarjeta de débito. > Muchas personas interesadas asistieron a esta importante conferencia. Each speaker focused on an area related to entrepreneurship for adults over 50. They addressed topics such as starting a business, preparing to launch a venture, and presented data and studies with projections for the coming years, hoping for a stabilization of the country's economic situation. They also covered investment topics, benefits, and risks, all with great professionalism. The last presentation was Eduard Vargas's, but I couldn't stay to hear it in its entirety because I had to attend another event, so I hope to have the opportunity to hear him again. There will surely be more similar events, but for now, they will continue their tour of other cities in the country with this project. ---- > La conferencia contó con tres ponentes: Luis Yáñez, director de Silverypunto y representante de la Cámara de Comercio Electrónico del país; Rafael Ávila, representante de Invercapital; y el ponente más esperado, Eduard Vargas, conocido por su amplia presencia en redes sociales y su gran número de seguidores, donde ofrece asesoría financiera. > Cada ponente se centró en un área relacionada con el emprendimiento para adultos mayores de 50 años. Abordaron temas como la creación de una empresa, la preparación para el lanzamiento de un emprendimiento y presentaron datos y estudios con proyecciones para los próximos años, con la esperanza de una estabilización de la situación económica del país. También trataron temas de inversión, beneficios y riesgos, todo ello con gran profesionalismo. > La última presentación fue la de Eduard Vargas, pero no pude quedarme a escucharla completa porque tenía que asistir a otro evento, así que espero tener la oportunidad de escucharlo de nuevo.
