Plants Growing Fast in the Greenhouse - by Sunscape

It's amazing how quickly the flats of seedlings are growing now that they have been moved into the greenhouse. The peppers are getting taller and putting out another set of leaves. The tomato plants are getting large quickly and may have to be planted into bigger pots before going into the garden.

The hanging baskets got planted, and the petunias are already loving the extra space.

I showed the potato plants in my last post, and now look at how tall they are in just one week. We will be taking them outside next week to harden off. Then we can lift them from the totes to grow onward until harvesting.

The lettuce, asian greens, and bok choi have adjusted to the hydroponic tubs.

The Impatien plants are doubling in size now that they have more room for root growth. I did lose a few from being too rough on them when transplanting. I think I should still have enough for the shady parts of the garden.

I moved the Zinnia plants out, and they should start to get some height too.

The Basil plants don't seem too happy at the moment, but the Lemongrass is doing fine.

Meanwhile, out in the garden, the Helebores are blooming.

I just adore the speckled markings on the white flowers.

I flipped the camera around to take this photo against the gray sky.

The rocks around the butterfly garden have some moss on them. They are already showing signs of new growth.

I had to go and see if the Rhubarb plant I purchased last spring survived the harsh winter. It has three leaves, and I'm hoping that more shoot up so I can make a strawberry-rhubarb pie.

Lastly, the peonies are all poking up around the different gardens, and it's time to put the peony cages up. We have a week of rain in the forecast, so today we will try to finish tidying up where needed. Have a wonderful week, everyone!
