What Keeps Me Here on Hive?

Hello beautiful souls, hope you are living the best of your lives. So, it is been a year on this platform named "Hive". A year back, I was recommended by my friend to this platform (the only one who knows about my real personality). I would be lying if I say that I started to love it at first sight. It was bit difficult for me to comprehend the environment. As before this, I was writing on Medium and environment there was completely different. Moreover, while I was finding my way here, she left this platform. However, I continued and the first reason, at that time, was the positive and kind environment. As time passed by, I found tons of reasons to choose Hive over many others. And would love to continue here; this is the whole long-term plan.

To Express and Engage

Enough with the historical yapping, and let me tell you my reasons before you get bored. By far, you might have predicted that I like to yap a lot. That, my friends, is the first and biggest reason. Now relate it with my "positive and kind environment" year old reasoning. So, primarily, I get to express my logical, not so logical version of me. And being a student of literature, this is the whole purpose of my life, at least for now. As an example, I like to comment more on other's writing than writing my own. Why? I have read their opinion, and now I am left with two choices: agree with their perspective or give my own understanding. Rarely, I would not get a reply back; otherwise, most of the time, their is warm reply and affection behind those words. And all this make me feels relatable and connected.

L-EARNING

Moving forward, the 'L' part comes first. And this is the positive L. It stands for learning. So, over the year, writing and engagements have made me way better. When I look back at my writing style or engaging experience; I can clearly see the change in both. This has also helped me a lot with my academic life, I have become somewhat extrovert (Still I prefer eternal peace xD) and has learned lots of English grammar rules (I am still learning). Yeps, that is another reason to stay here.

Along with this learning, there is 'Earning'. Who would say that they are doing all this without any capital attached? If anyone utters these words, sorry pal, I am not believing you at all. Although, I have not withdrawn more than $20 dollars, but still, it is because I am aiming for the long-term. Especially with the power of HP (The mighty HivePower). I will never understand, why would anyone like to leave this platform, when HP is the purest form of win-win scenario. You are earning while helping others through your HP, and in return, they are doing the same. Isn't it enough reason to stay? Furthermore, there are just so many ways to earn: writing, curating, engaging, contests, tokens, stocking etc. So yes, I am staying here for a long time.

Positive Environment

Although, I have mentioned it already, but I believe it deserves a separate portion. Many of us have already used other online apps - insta, fb, X - and we know that the environment is a lot hostile there. At least, this is my observation, you may disagree all rights are your. But here, the freedom of expression of anything also comes with optimistic and kind environment. Where everyone treat each other like a family member, and no one is in war like scenario.

In the end, there are few other reasons as well, but these are my top three and enough for me to stay here. The prices may scare many of us, but I have high hopes. As Alexandre Dumas uttered, "All human wisdom is summed up in two words: wait and hope". I am going to follow my hope and keep my slow and steady race going.
