I have been a regular participant in these challenges, since I really like photography, especially black and white photography. Today I want to share in this mini-blog the photograph that will be my entry for this round. This time we again seek inspiration from nature. I hope you like this capture and this flower.

Hola amigos y comunidad, espero que estén teniendo un muy lindo día. Como cada semana, la comunidad Photofeed nos invita a compartir nuestras fotografías en blanco y negro. He sido un asiduo participante de estos retos, ya que me gusta mucho la fotografía y sobre todo la fotografía en blanco y negro. Hoy les quiero compartir en este miniblog la fotografía que será mi participación para esta ronda. Esta vez volvemos a buscar inspiración en la naturaleza. Espero que les guste esta captura y esta flor.

Today I show you this black and white photograph of a legume flower. It is a very delicate flower with bluish and white tones on a single petal that makes up the entire flower. It is a very simple and fragile flower, approximately 5 cm in size. Blue-toned flowers are very rare in nature. Inside this flower are the plant’s other organs. I chose this black and white photograph because I wanted to show the tonal gradations more than the color itself, since the bright parts of the flower contrast beautifully with the almost absolute darkness of the green leaves in the background, creating great visual separation, a very striking effect in black and white photography. The folds, curves, and veins of the flower also gain strength and texture in black and white, deepening their shadows. I wanted not only to capture the flower in a simple photograph, but also to better convey the feeling evoked by looking at it up close, and how meaningful the details are, because it is already a striking flower (due to its color), but sometimes color makes us forget how interesting and unusual nature’s shapes can be. Hoy les muestro esta fotografía en blanco y negro de la flor de una leguminosa. Es una flor muy delicada y que presenta tonos azulados y blancos en un único pétalo que forma toda la flor. Es una flor muy simple y frágil, de tamaño aproximado de unos 5 cm. Las flores de tonos azules son muy raras en la naturaleza. En el interior de esta flor se encuentran los demás órganos de la planta. Elegí esta fotografía en blanco y negro porque quería mostrar más las gradaciones tonales que el color como tal, ya que lo iluminado de la flor hace muy buen contraste con la oscuridad casi absoluta del verde de las hojas del fondo, creando mucha separación visual, un efecto muy llamativo en la fotografía en blanco y negro. Los pliegues, curvas y venas de la flor también ganan fuerza y texturas en blanco y negro, profundizando sus sombras. Quise capturar no solo la flor en una simple fotografía, quise mostrar mejor la sensación que evoca observarla de cerca, lo significativo que son los detalles, ya que de por sí es una flor llamativa (por su color), pero a veces el color hace que olvidemos lo interesante e inusuales que pueden ser las formas de la naturaleza.
