Hello friends. I had been wanting for a while to share with you a blog about my daily life, about the things I do for fun that I almost never share. So today I am sharing this little blog where I assemble a dinosaur from small building blocks. This is one of my favorite activities, putting together figures and models. I am always looking for new ones or creating my own from some internet template. This one was given to me some time ago, but I did not feel up to assembling it or had the motivation. But I needed a new toy for my desk, so I got to work. Let us see how this red T Rex turns out.

Hola amigos, hacía rato que quería compartir con ustedes un blog de mi día a día de las cosas que hago para divertirme y que no comparto casi nunca, así que hoy les comparto este pequeño blog donde armo un dinosaurio de pequeños bloques de construcción. Esta es una de las actividades que más me gusta, armar figuras y modelos, siempre estoy buscando nuevos o creando los míos desde alguna plantilla de internet. Este me lo regalaron hace un tiempo pero no me sentía con el valor de armarlo o con los ánimos, pero ya necesitaba un nuevo juguete para mi escritorio así que me puse manos a la obra. Vamos a ver cómo sale este T Rex rojo.

The first thing I did was separate the pieces by type. I was very happy and it gave me a lot of confidence that the instructions themselves included an inventory of all the necessary pieces and the quantity by type. In other puzzles this is not included, and you are left wondering until the end whether all the pieces are there. Additionally, all the pieces have an extra of 3 to 5 pieces, so one less worry about losing any.

Me alegró mucho y me dio mucha confianza que las propias instrucciones trajeran un inventario con todas las piezas necesarias y la cantidad por tipo. En otros puzles no viene esto y siempre uno queda hasta el final con la duda de si estarán todas las piezas. Además, todas las piezas tienen un extra de 3 a 5, una preocupación menos por si se pierde alguna.

From the moment I saw the size of the paper, I knew it would be a headache, since on that size there is no room for good and clear instructions. So I ended up being a graduate in architecture and technical drawing from having to interpret what the designer wanted to capture in the instructions. Add the difficulty due to the size of the pieces, so I changed the level I gave it from intermediate to difficult.

Desde que vi el tamaño del papel sabía que sería un dolor de cabeza, ya que en ese tamaño no hay espacio para buenas y claras instrucciones. Así que terminé siendo un graduado en arquitectura y dibujo técnico de tanto interpretar lo que el diseñador quiso plasmar en las instrucciones. Súmale la dificultad por el tamaño de las piezas, así que cambié el nivel que le di de intermedio a difícil.

This was the most difficult piece, the three level base platform, but once I had it done, the others came out with a bit more ease since I used this as the main support.

So far it was not taking any dinosaur shape, so I had to trust the process hahaha.

And now yes, now it does look like a dinosaur after adding teeth and eyes.

Adding the back legs and the tail, now it is indeed a complete dinosaur, a ferocious T Rex, and with no missing pieces.

I share some photographs against the darkest background I could achieve so that the details stand out well. I really enjoyed assembling this puzzle, even more so after some time without dedicating myself to this. I enjoyed it so much that I started looking for papercraft models again and downloading them.
