Desfrán – Day 20

As we enter their third week, they have put on more growth. Though I had to dim the LED light as it seemed a little too intense for half of them. Now the light is set to 25% and the distance from the seedlings is a little over two feet. Since changing the intensity the smaller ones are responding well. I try to mist them often, as their root systems are not established yet and rely much on their leaves for absorption of their water during the seedling stage.

The biggest of the bunch, is the one above. Honestly this one did not need me to turn down the lights. But its other sisters did need a little bit less light.

We can see the leaf curling a bit, looks the new growth is not doing that so hopefully that was just a sign of stress when there was too much light.

These LEDs are all new to me, this is my second grow with them, so still figuring it all out.

I try to mist them a few times a day and so far they have only had one feeding.

They seem to like the misting, I also have humidifiers keeping the tent around 70% RH.

Basically they are reptile foggers that are piped into the tent that are attached to a device called a humidistat.

Had to put on my macro lens for these pictures, glad I did. Get to see them all up and close.

I feel like I am a little behind in this grow. I mean yeah there is growth, but I just expect more by now. Hoping they grow out of this, worst comes to worst in about 2.5 weeks I can start some new seeds and directly sow the cannabis seeds into the holes outside.

But I do hope these take, as I get a jump on the growing season. They still have over two weeks to get themselves sorted out. And then I will put them in the ground if they are doing well. If not will need to get rid of the bad ones and start a few seeds. Pretty sure the one above will be just fine, just the other three are kind of small right now.

But I see lots of new growth, and since lowering the brightness they seem to be overall more happy.

I think next time I will need to keep the light around 25% until they get much bigger.

Soon enough they will be outside in the full sun, so they can enjoy the dim light for now. But by May 1st they really need to shape up into some healthy plants ready to go into the ground. And then the long period of the summer here they should grow into some great cannabis plants with the right care.
