Fish market regrets: Even though I saw big fish, I couldn't find it in my budget.

Personally, I like eating fish. Especially when I have fresh big fish soup and hot rice, my lunch is quite filling. Out of that urge, I went to the local fish market yesterday evening. I thought I would return with a big live fish, but I had to return disappointed after seeing the market scene.

As soon as I entered the market, I saw rows of fish arranged. On a red plastic sheet, large carp, rui, katla and silver carp fish looked quite shiny. On one side, some small silver fish were kept in a large pot, which was quite beautiful to look at. When I reached there, the fish scales were shining in the artificial light of the market. The vendors were also trying to attract buyers with a lot of shouting.

I went and started bargaining for a large silver carp and rui fish. The fish were quite large in size, which is bound to catch the eye of any foodie. But the price the seller asked for was a complete shock. The price had increased significantly compared to last week. For middle-class people like us, buying big fish has now become a festival.

I tried to bargain several times. The seller's argument was that the supply of fish was low now and they had to buy them from the warehouse at a high price. Even after standing for a long time, I saw no sign of reducing the price. The price of the fish I wanted to buy was almost double my budget.

Although the fish were fresh and large, I did not buy it in the end considering my pocket. In fact, even if I have a hobby, when it comes to fighting with my means, my means have to win. After standing in the market crowd for quite some time, I returned home with a sense of disappointment. I had to spend yesterday night remembering that desire for big fish.

Sometimes, when you go to the market, you have to face such experiences. How much inflation and market instability affect the daily lives of our common people can be understood by going to the market. Still, I hope that one day the market situation will normalize and we common buyers will also be able to buy fresh fish at affordable prices.
