Rose apple after a long wait
This morning, I realised this little plant bloomed after a long while, probably after a gap of 5 years to say. The ever so good looking with its rose color called rose apple.
Harvest of rose apple and green spinach from my garden.

Greetings dear Hiveans and members of the #gardenhive community.
The rose fruit amongst the green leaves not only makes the environment attractive, but also cools our eyes and mind, on watching such a water rich fruit.

This fruit is very juicy. Sometimes they are sour and rarely, a little bit of sweet. In our country we have the habit of making pickles out of these little fruit.
An interesting part of this little plant is, it grows even without any manure or water. And very often it fruits in the summer season.
Long back, when a function was being hosted at our home, this little plant was cut down due to lack of space. Later, due to over heat it started to die. So I started to pour some rice starch water and gradually, to my dis belief, it started to grow. But the only drawback was it took years to fruit but finally, I am happy to have it back in my garden.
For the pickle recipe - Just clean them in running water and cut into four equal parts diagonally. Now sprinkle the required amount of salt and keep aside. Let it rest for an hour
In another pan, heat and add some sesame oil. Once hot splutter mustard sèeds, add curry leaves, asfoetid, Red Chiilli powder and saute for thirty seconds. Now add the sour rose apple, mix it well for just 30 seconds and switch off the flame. Your pickle is ready to go with hot rice and youghurt.
This is eaten even raw by adding some salt and red pepper. This fruit is rich in water content.
Thankyou dear friends for your time and patience. And hope you enjoy watching this little fruit in my garden.
