Witness Townhall, Sunday April 19th at 12pm EDT

It’s almost time for the fourth Witness Townhall of 2026 taking place in in the official Hive discord.

It will take place on Sunday April 19th at 12pm ET in the official Hive Discord. That would be 4pm UTC

There were several requests for a weekend Townhall. I have an event on Saturdays so Sunday is the only option.

It was be an opportunity to meet the Witnesses:

• find out what they do on the chain
• what projects are important to them
• how they feel about topics of interest on the chain
• for them to share about upcoming developments or possible developments

At the Townhall on March 18th it was great to see just over a dozen Witnesses present. A range of subjects was discussed during the Townhall with many diverse views presented.

By hearing the Witnesses, community members get a sense of who the Witnesses are and can make better informed voting decisions.

The townhall is meant to be a two way discussion between Witnesses and the rest of the community. The text is monitored for people to be able to put questions and concerns to raise.

I’m your host for the event. For those who don’t know me, I’ve been on Hive since August 2016. I host the long running Pimp Your Post Thursday (PYPT) and am one of the co-hosts on the Hive Thrive show held each Tuesday. On the legacy chain I hosted a monthly Witness Chat, so this is returning to that format on Hive.

It doesn’t matter if you’re new to Hive or been here forever, your vote counts. So come on out and listen in, ask questions and learn.
