We may not be able to solve every problem but we can each do something to lessen the burden. If every Christian home truly embraced the responsibility of raising its children in the fear of the Lord, for the sake of both God's Kingdom and our nation, many more children would grow up safe, secure and nurtured physically, emotionally and spiritually. We must remember: The political and moral climate of our nation is ultimately a reflection of the upbringing in our homes. You cannot give what you do not have. That's why real change begins with changed people, people who have encountered Christ and are living transformed lives. Therefore, the Church must rise to this call. Change begins with the family, because the family is the foundational unit upon which all other institutions are built. The Scriptures are clear about God's expectations. Proverbs 22:6 says "Train up a child in the way he should go..." Also He says in Deuteronomy 6:6-9 "These commandments... are to be on your hearts... impress them on your children..." From these verses, we see God's desire for every home to be a beacon of light, a spiritual embassy raising individuals who will not only advance God's Kingdom but also influence society for good.
