Why Not Every ‘Stronger Card’ Is Power Creep

TCG can remain as stagnant as you possible and survive. The core promise of a TCG is the game changes over time.
Of all the cards in the game right now, the only one I see that is truly un-powercreepable is LiTD. The ability is way to novel and low cost and I cannot imagine a world where people want a better one. That being said several cards have come out over the past months that severely hamper that deck, its just a matter of adoption. JJ absolutely stomps schoolteacher if you can get it online in time and the current version of the deck has only a few options to deal with it, though if the meta shifted so would the deck I think.
Other than that everything printed is likely fair game, but it's honestly not so much power creep as it is metas moving sideways. To me powercreep is strictly or nearly strictly better cards in most situations. I would say that a lot of the cards that we call powercreep right now are not exactly that, they just happen to fit the particular meta right now. Ronellan Ball is not better than Rapture Dance all the time, but there are decks and scenarios where it is. That is pretty healthy to me.
