It's still the first half of April, yet the amount of turmoil could equally sum for a whole month of rollercoaster emotions. However, we don't let our problems eat us up, right? Stay with me as I share the beginning of my April, my birth month and the activities I've been up lately.

April 4th - My Birthday Celebration
My family spent a day outside our home and had fun! First off, we went to Hang Trong, Hanoi and indulged ourselves with some spa time. My mother went for a massage, while me and my siblings chose a body scrub with coconut oil and coffee. It smelled so heavenly, you can literally smell coconut and how well it blends with the coffee. During the whole 45 minutes, I was laughing mostly because I was so ticklish, I found myself being embarrassed but I can't stop myself, thankfully I survived and found it relaxing regardless.
After the session we booked, we grabbed a car on the way to the restaurant to fill our stomachs. Our mother brought us in a Filipino place in Nhat Tan named Terraza. We occupied the KTV room, very Filipino of us, I know. Everyone ordered a chicken inasal and drinks. The serving was totally enough and perfect! It made me so full, yet there's always a room for a dessert! I blew the candles for my birthday and everyone enjoyed the cheesecake, which is my favorite cake, while everyone's singing songs.
Gratitude was always my word every year I turn older. It never changed, while blowing my candle, I couldn't wish for more but I did hope for everyone in the world to get along and fight against oppression more loudly. As I celebrated another year of present, I aspire to be more active and loud about what I think is right, everything against humanity will always be not good and another year of life means another year of fighting for human rights and living a life filled with purpose and passion. Happy Birthday, to me!

Another weekend, another family time! My family decided to attend the mass in the St. Joseph church around Hoan Kiem district. The church really has this amazing well-structured and designed architecture. There's also a lot of Filipino and other nationalities that attended the mass.
My family walked around Hoan Kiem and stumbled upon a cafe and decided to take a rest inside and sip some smoothies to ease the surging heat outside. I ordered mango smoothie but I didn't like it that much and shared the drinks with my siblings. After finishing our drinks, we decided to go thrift!
Thrifting!!! It's an activity I enjoyed since I was a kid with my grandmother, and growing up, I loved thrifting and found it more meaningful. Actually, thrifting clothes can help in creating more not only creative fashion outlook, but also efficient and sustainable one. I don't support fast fashion, I prefer using my clothes wisely, and use them and value them. We need to save our planet with even taking a little step back from clothes made from factories that produce carbon emissions and great amount of water, it's not just sustainable and healthy for the place we live in.
Dong Tac, Market, a huge market for everyone who is interested with buying cheaper yet valuable items. My siblings and I found our way around and bought clothes for the upcoming summer. Our mother also chose for herself and for our auntie who accompanied us that Sunday. It was a work, really. However, the joy of finding clothes and buying it for a cheaper price felt so good and fulfilling.
We went home afterwards and everyone checked the haul bags before washing them, though I recommend washing it first. My family were just excited.
See you around, rainebows! I hope you had a good time reading my blog.
