Shrimp Dumplings Rice Paper

Hi bloggers and food lovers! What are you having for lunch today? Today, my lunch menu features shrimp dumplings wrapped in rice paper instead of traditional dumpling wrappers. They still taste great, you get the crunchy texture of the shrimp and the chewy texture of the rice paper and best of all, they’re super easy to make. Let’s get started!
Ingredients:
- 200 grams shrimp
- baking powder
- 1 clove garlic
- 1/2 stalk green onion
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp ground black pepper
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp oyster sauce
- 1 tsp sesame oil
- 1 tsp cornstarch
- rice paper
Steps:

- Peel the shrimp and rinse under running water

Marinate with baking powder and salt for 20 minutes
Rinse the shrimp again under running water

Prepare the scallions and finely chop them
Set aside


- Coarsely chop the shrimp and place them in a bowl

- Add the minced garlic

- Add a pinch of salt, ground black pepper, garlic powder, oyster sauce, and chopped scallions

- Add cornstarch and sesame oil to the bowl

- Stir until well combined


- Prepare square rice paper sheets, each cut into 4 pieces


- Moisten the rice paper with water, then place the shrimp on top

Wrap into dumpling shapes
Repeat until all the mixture is used up

- Place the dumplings in a steamer that has been lightly brushed with sesame oil

- Steam until cooked through for 20 minutes

Serve with your favorite sauce
