A Fresh Start: My Wednesday Walk

Hello everyone! It has been a very long time since I last shared a walk with you. I am so happy to be back. Life has been very busy lately. As some of you know, I recently went to Umrah. It was a spiritual and deeply peaceful journey for me. After returning from such a special place, I stayed home for a while to rest and reflect. Because of this, I haven't been out for a long walk in quite a while. But today is Wednesday, and I finally decided to go outside. Honestly, it felt amazing. Sometimes we forget how much a simple walk can change our mood. Today, it felt like a fresh start for me.

The Weather and Spring in Istanbul
The weather today is beautiful, but it is also a bit confusing! It is officially spring, and you can feel the "spring vibe" in the air. The grass is green, the trees are waking up, and the light is very bright. However, it is still quite cold. In Turkey, the weather is very different depending on where you are. I heard that in some cities outside of Istanbul, it actually snowed recently! Even though we are in the middle of April, the cold wind is still here. I had to wear my warm clothes today, but the sun on my face felt wonderful.

Looking Forward to May
I am really looking forward to May. May is one of my favorite months because the weather finally becomes stable and warm. My plan is to make walking a daily habit again. When May arrives, I want to go out almost every single day. Of course, this depends on my work schedule. As an entrepreneur and economist, my days can be very full, but I realize now that I need these walks to keep my mind clear and my body healthy.

My Journey Today
In the photos I shared, you can see the park I visited today. I love the contrast between the grey walking paths and the bright green grass. Seeing the playground and the tall apartment buildings in the background reminds me that even in a big city like Istanbul, we can find a small "green escape." Walking today reminded me of the peace I felt in Medina. Even though a city park is different from a holy place, the act of walking and observing people brings a similar kind of quiet joy. I enjoyed watching the trees and breathing in the fresh air.

A Message to You
It feels good to be active again and to be part of the Wednesday Walk community once more. It doesn't matter if the walk is long or short; what matters is the feeling of moving forward. I send my best wishes, greetings, and love to all of you from a chilly but beautiful Istanbul day. I hope you all find some time today to step outside and breathe. See you in the next walk!
