A walk in the outskirts of Montecatini part one/ Un paseo por las afueras de Montecatini, primera parte.

Good morning, blog friends, how are you? Here I am again to take you out for a stroll. Today we're exploring the outskirts and streets of Montecatini, a city at the end of the Nievole Valley. It's a fairly large town steeped in history and beauty. It's a modern city that's still expanding. It was once very famous and popular with tourists, especially for its thermal springs. Today, it's a simple town, mostly with older tourists, but it's still vibrant with many weekend events. Today, I'll take you along the streets surrounding Via Marruota, one of the main streets on the outskirts, where I went to see a market (which I'll tell you about in the second part of this post). As you can see, the outskirts are quite modern, with very contemporary buildings and apartment blocks, but it's still a city that doesn't forget about its greenery, as there are trees everywhere you walk. It's a truly pleasant place to stroll. I've noticed that the streets are very quiet, and that's something I appreciate very much. Being able to stroll without too much traffic or chaos is truly a pleasure.

Hoy en día, es una ciudad sencilla, con turistas de mayor edad, pero sigue siendo vibrante, con muchos eventos los fines de semana. Hoy los llevaré por las calles que rodean Via Marruota, una de las principales avenidas, donde fui a ver un mercado (del que les hablaré en la segunda parte de esta publicación). Como pueden ver, las afueras son bastante modernas, con edificios y bloques de apartamentos muy contemporáneos, pero sigue siendo una ciudad que no se olvida de sus zonas verdes, ya que hay árboles por todas partes. Es un lugar realmente agradable para pasear. He notado que las calles están muy tranquilas, y eso lo agradezco mucho. Poder pasear sin demasiado tráfico ni bullicio es un verdadero placer.

I loved walking around the city and seeing cypress trees and pine trees lining the avenues. Despite the suburbs, the houses and villas are very well-kept. Some residents online complain about the area's deterioration, but maybe it was because it was daytime. I didn't find it that run-down; in fact, it seemed clean and sparsely populated. I also liked that many of the houses and streets had various plants to see, and many had wisteria railings, which I love. A small burst of spring in a suburban city. Many of the houses also had lovely, well-kept gardens and strange, elegant decorations on the houses. Some even had exotic plants in the gardens, like palm trees—absolutely uncommon in the area, but beautiful to look at. Overall, it's a charming, quiet, simple town, and in my opinion, clean and elegant. I'll soon tell you about the market nearby, which my husband and I went to. Me encantó pasear por la ciudad y ver los cipreses y pinos que bordeaban las avenidas. A pesar de ser una zona residencial, las casas y villas están muy bien cuidadas. Algunos residentes se quejan en internet del deterioro de la zona, pero quizás fue porque era de día. A mí no me pareció tan descuidada; de hecho, me pareció limpia y con poca gente.
