Between Planning and Going with the Flow

So far, life has taught me many things, and still counting. Each day comes with its different experiences and lessons alongside. One of the vital things life has taught is that I shouldn't leave everything to chance, and again, I can't also have perfect planning stuff.
In other words, no matter how much I pay attention to details, planning, and re-strategizing, I can't have perfection, and that shouldn't also mean that I should live my life by chance!

I used to see myself as a careful planner. I love having my day and activities well figured out, knowing when and what to do at a specific time. I love having a well-structured day without bias, and that way, I stay more productive and focused, but then, life will always be life, hahaha.
Life has humbled me several times, reminding me that even strong planners can't have things all figured out and follow them at all times, and so yes, at times I go with the flow no matter my previous plans. So flexible I am, just a simple girl standing in the middle of going with the flow and having my stuff figured out. I can also say that my type with numerous responsibilities of family, children, work, etc. can't always live my life by chance because it will choke me honestly; there are decisions I don't make carelessly; otherwise, I will carelessly reap the consequences.
Obviously, planning gives me peace of mind and makes me have a sense of control to some extent. Being a mom, I can say that planning is not negotiable; otherwise, I will always run into unnecessary stress. I have had a lot of things to deal with at the same time: hospital checks, school runs, medications, emotional stress, and so on. Imagine if I weren't planning for all these activities intentionally; I would feel very much overwhelmed. I can't deny that planning has been giving me clear direction, helps me remain a better manager in my home, and helps me stay grounded and organized.
It's a lot of benefit from intentional planning than going with the flow, but the truth remains that no matter how we plan, life will humble you some days. I have had different experiences where things have gone south, totally different from the way I planned it, but I had to accept the twist, adjust, and keep moving. After all, life is never in a straight line. Planning remains great, but trust me, flexibility is great wisdom.
Overall, I wouldn't choose one over another because both lifestyles are life savers; it's all about balance. But I stay on the side of planning more while I accept any life twist, become flexible, and survive the moment, but then planning gives a clearer direction and helps me live my life intentionally.
