How I Countered a Powerful Enemy !!
Hello Splinterlands Lovers !

Today, I will tell you about a specific battle in Splinterlands—one that I eventually won, but only after suffering numerous defeats. The situation was such that whenever I assembled a team, my opponent would field a specific card that consistently defeated my lineup; this card is named Katrelba Gobson. It is a card capable of attacking twice per round. Possessing melee attack power, it strikes with such force and precision that its attacks never miss their mark. For me, this meant my battle rank was plummeting, and I was losing so frequently that I began to lose the desire to play the game altogether. This card is incredibly powerful, capable of launching attacks from any position on the battlefield; specifically, it targets the card in the last position or other high-priority, powerful cards, resulting in significant losses for me in many battles.

The name of this card from the enemy team is Katrelba Gobson. The first ability featured on this card is "Bloodlust"; whenever this card attacks an enemy, it permanently increases its own stats by +1. This means that if its Attack power is currently 1, it will rise to 2; if its Speed is 2, it will increase to 3; and if its Health is 2, it will become 3. In this way, this card becomes a formidable force against the opposing team. The second ability is "Sneak," which allows the card to directly target the specific enemy card positioned at the very end of the opposing team's lineup. Consequently, the cards stationed at the rear of the enemy formation sustain heavy damage. The third ability is named "Double Strike," under which this card attacks any card on the enemy team twice. Now, consider this: if this card possesses an Attack value of 3, it will inflict a total of 6 points of damage to the enemy team in a single turn—an impact that significantly weakens your team. For these reasons, this is an exceptionally powerful card.

In this post, I have shared a photo of a Legendary card from the Natural unit; this card is named Cornealus. This card is particularly important because you should position it in the final slot of your lineup. The reason for this specific placement is that whenever the opposing team fields the Katrelba Gobson card, you can counter it by deploying Cornealus in your own team. The rationale behind this tactic lies in Cornealus's core ability, known as "Thorns." This ability functions by inflicting damage upon any melee attacker that strikes Cornealus, thereby depleting the attacker's health. Consequently, if Katrelba Gobson attacks twice, its health will be significantly reduced. By employing this strategy, you can ensure that your team avoids defeat. This is an excellent strategy because, in a scenario involving Katrelba Gobson, Cornealus is the one card capable of securing victory for you in the battle.
