New paint stain exercises!

Nuevos ejercicios de manchas de pintura.

Today I return to one of my favorite creativity exercises: drawing with blots. I will be using blots to make small drawings within the spaces that each blot limits. These blots have practically random shapes and help me enclose my drawings and shape my imagination by searching for forms and inspiration. I hope you like this exercise.

Hoy vuelvo a uno de los ejercicios de creatividad que más me gusta: dibujar con manchas. Estaré usando manchas para hacer pequeños dibujos dentro de los espacios que esta mancha limita. Estas manchas tienen formas prácticamente al azar y me ayudan a encerrar mis dibujos y a poner en forma mi imaginación buscando formas e inspiración. Espero que les guste este ejercicio.

I started by using my favorite color palette app to select a group of colors for my blots. I decided on these opposites of soft but bright colors so that the black color would contrast well.

Comencé utilizando mi aplicación favorita de paleta de colores para seleccionar un grupo de colores para mis manchas. Me decidí por estos opuestos de colores suaves pero a la vez brillantes para que contraste bien el color negro.

For the selection of drawing themes, I will be using an app that gives me random themes, so I ended up with these themes: aquarium, glasses, jar, prehistory, romantic, and science fiction.

Para la selección de los temas de dibujo estaré usando una aplicación que me da temas al azar, así me quedé con estos temas: acuario, gafas, frasco, prehistoria, romántico y ciencia ficción.

I'm sharing the result of my blots without any drawing on top, in case you want to try this exercise yourselves.

Aquarium

For the aquarium theme, I drew a fish tank with fish, an ocean floor with a moray eel and a manta ray (very dangerous animals), a diver swimming at the bottom of the aquarium next to a fish, and finally, the signs of Aquarius and Pisces couldn't be missing.

Para el tema acuario dibujé una pecera con peces, un fondo marino con una morena y una mantarraya, animales muy peligrosos, un buzo nadando en el fondo del acuario junto a un pez, y por último no podía faltar el signo de Acuario y Piscis.

My favorite drawing was the first one I made: the fish tank with the goldfish.

Mi dibujo favorito fue el primero que hice, la pecera con los peces de colores.

Glasses

The next theme was glasses, and I drew some eyeglasses next to some books, a girl sunbathing on the beach with her sunglasses, a giant sun next to a cloud, the sun protecting its eyes from the sun's rays with its glasses, and a fish that is surprised to see a pair of snorkel goggles without their owner.

El siguiente tema fue gafas, y dibujé unos espejuelos junto a unos libros, una chica tomando el sol en la playa con sus lentes de sol, un sol gigante junto a una nube, el sol se protege los ojos de los rayos del sol con sus gafas y un pez que se sorprende al ver unas gafas de snorkel sin su dueño.

My favorite drawing is the surprised fish because the diver lost his snorkel.

Mi dibujo favorito es el pez sorprendido porque el buzo perdió su snorkel.

Jar

Frasco

For the jar theme, I drew the broken jar of substance X, a jar with a firefly, a jar of a substance in a laboratory, and a waiter who drops a wine bottle. Are bottles jars or not?

Para el tema frasco dibujé el frasco roto de la sustancia X, un frasco con una luciérnaga, un frasco de una sustancia en un laboratorio, y un mesero al que se le cae una botella de vino. ¿Las botellas son frascos o no?

My favorite by far: Substance X.

Prehistory

Prehistoria

The prehistory theme was very difficult for me: I decided to draw the discovery of the wheel, a stone arrow, a mammoth, and some cave art next to the famous female representation.

El tema prehistoria me fue bien difícil: decidí dibujar el descubrimiento de la rueda, una flecha de piedra, un mamut, y un poco de arte rupestre junto a la famosa representación femenina.

My favorite, without a doubt, is the arrow with the flint and the rest of the stones.

Mi favorito, sin dudas, es la flecha con el pedernal y el resto de piedras.

Romance

Romance

Romance may sound easy as a theme, but the blots didn't help much. You can't miss hearts, love letters, and two cherries joined in the shape of a heart. I think it's the most clichéd and saccharine page of today.

Romance puede sonar fácil como tema, pero las manchas no ayudaron mucho. No pueden faltar corazones, cartas de amor y dos cerezas unidas en forma de corazón. Creo que es la página más cliché y empalagosa de hoy.

My favorite is the hand holding the letter.

Mi favorito es la mano sosteniendo la carta.

Science Fiction

Ciencia Ficción

Science fiction is one of my favorite themes. For this theme, I drew a planet with rings, a robot that changes light bulbs, a rocket, and a space scientist with a laser gun.

Ciencia ficción es de mis temas favoritos. Para este tema dibujé un planeta con anillos, un robot que cambia bombillas, un cohete y un científico espacial con una pistola láser.

My favorite is the laser gun.

Mi favorito es la pistola láser.
