I drew a surrealist pepper.

Hello, I'm sharing my Sketch Quest April. I hope you like it. This drawing is of a yellow pepper, but with a surrealist touch. I made the drawing entirely in Ibis Paint. I wanted to create my own interpretation of the pepper, and after finishing it, I wanted to give it a surrealist touch by deforming one of the edges into a spiral shape, like Dalí's melting clocks. A few days ago I had shared the sketch for this drawing with you, but I knew the hardest part would be, of course, rendering, bringing the sketch to life. It took me quite a while, but I worked on it in my free time.

Hola, les comparto mi Sketch Quest April. Espero que les guste. Este dibujo es el dibujo de un pimiento amarillo, pero con un toque surrealista. Hice el dibujo completamente en Ibis Paint. Quise hacer mi propia interpretación del pimiento y, al terminarlo, le quise dar un toque surrealista deformando uno de los bordes en forma de espiral, como los relojes derretidos de Dalí. Hacía unos días había compartido con ustedes el boceto para este dibujo, pero sabía que lo más difícil sería, por supuesto, renderizar, traer a la vida el boceto. Me tardó bastante tiempo, pero lo fui haciendo en mis ratos libres.

This was the sketch I shared a few days ago. I chose the color yellow because it is an extraordinary color, and many dreams or stories about dreams are in yellow. Drawing it was my way of transforming the everyday into something otherworldly. I worked practically everything on two layers: the sketch layer and one for colors, lights, and shadows. When I had the whole drawing, for the spiral, I simply used the deformation tool. Maybe I fell asleep looking at the pepper, and this spiral was part of my dream. Thank you for joining me for another day of drawing.

Este fue el boceto que compartí hace unos días. Elegí el color amarillo porque es un color extraordinario, y muchos sueños o historias sobre sueños están en amarillo. Dibujarlo fue mi manera de transformar lo cotidiano en algo de otro mundo. Trabajé prácticamente todo en dos capas: la del boceto y una para los colores, y las luces y sombras. Cuando tuve todo el dibujo, para la espiral, simplemente usé la herramienta de deformación. Quizás fue que me quedé dormido viendo el pimiento y esta espiral fue parte de mi sueño.
