Monomad: A routine Monday [Eng/Esp]

This is my entry for the #monomad challenge.

Happy start to the week, dear friends in the community and lovers of black and white photography; I hope you’re all doing great today. I’m sharing some photos I took in Lacalle, always on the lookout for those spontaneous moments; I hope you enjoy them as much as I enjoyed taking them.

Feliz inicio de semana, queridos amigos de la comunidad y amantes de la fotografía en blanco y negro; espero que todos se encuentren genial el día de hoy. Les comparto algunas fotografías que hice en Lacalle, siempre intentando encontrar esos momentos espontáneos; espero que las disfruten tanto como yo el hacerlas.

The streets are the most interesting places to take photos; there are always people around, and plenty of ways to use different perspectives to create some really beautiful compositions. Plus, in areas with specific lighting conditions, I think the streets are perfect for creating that contrast that really catches the eye.

Las calles son los lugares más entretenidos para fotografiar; siempre tienes personas a disposición y varias maneras de aprovechar las perspectivas para realizar algunas composiciones muy bonitas y en las calles donde hay ciertas zonas de luz me parece perfecto para generar ese contraste que puede llamar mucho la atención.

Trying to capture those everyday moments in people’s lives can be an art form, knowing exactly when to take the photo. It can turn out really well or really poorly, either because you didn’t capture the moment you really wanted or because you didn’t know how to make the most of that instant, which is a challenge, after all.

Intentar capturar esos momentos tan rutinarios de las personas puede ser un arte, saber en qué momento debes hacer la fotografía, lo cual puede salir bastante bien o mal, ya sea por no capturar el momento que realmente querías o por no saber aprovechar ese instante, lo cual es un reto a fin de cuentas.
