Monomad: A butterfly against the leaves [Eng/Esp]

This is my entry for the #monomad challenge.

I've always seen butterflies as a symbol of resilience because of the journey they go through, and this one is particularly interesting because it has a slight defect in one of its wings. Yet, curiously, that didn't stop it from flying at all, which is why I wanted to share these photos with you today.

Las mariposas siempre me han parecido un símbolo de reivindicación por el proceso que estas pasan y en esta ocasión es interesante porque esta mariposa tiene ciertos problemas en una de sus alas, pero curiosamente no le impedía para nada volar y por eso, quiero compartirles estas fotografías el día de hoy.

Photographing butterflies is always a challenge, whether because of their constant movement or because they only stay on a flower for a couple of minutes, and that’s exactly the moment you have to seize to take the photos. Even so, it’s difficult but fun to try to capture the perfect shot.

Hacer fotografías a las mariposas siempre es un reto, ya sea por el constante movimiento y que solo en pocas flores se mantienen por un par de minutos y es justo ese momento que uno debe aprovechar para hacer las fotos, aún así es difícil, pero entretenido de buscar la fotografía perfecta.

I took advantage of the butterfly’s striking white color to create a more striking contrast. I also used my camera’s flash to illuminate only the essential parts of the butterfly, which in turn helped me darken the background, thereby making the butterfly stand out even more.

Aproveché que la mariposa tenía un color blanco muy llamativo para generar este contraste más llamativo, usé también el flash de mi cámara para iluminar sin duda solo lo esencial de la mariposa protagonista y a su vez, esto me ayudó a oscurecer el entorno, lo cual sin duda da más protagonismo.
