Conceptual photography [Eng/Esp]

Over the past few days, I’ve been editing photos, trying to put together a sort of portfolio to share later, so I’ve been going through all the photos I’ve taken and, in the process, editing the ones I think are of very high quality and worth sharing, all with the aim of creating an eye-catching style. This time, I’m sharing some photos from a personal project I worked on, and I shared a few others at the time; I hope you enjoy them.

Estos últimos días he estado editando fotografías, intentando hacer una especie de portafolio para compartir luego, por lo que he estado revisando todas las fotografías que he hecho y en el proceso voy editando aquellas que considero que tienen una muy buena calidad y valen la pena, todas intentando tener un estilo llamativo y en esta oportunidad, les comparto algunas fotografías que pertenecen a un proyecto personal que hice y compartí algunas otras fotografías en su momento; espero que las disfruten.

This was a project that involved creating photographs that were different from what I usually do, using a line from a song as a reference and then translating that line into something more visual, which is a pretty interesting challenge, but one that also lets you tap into your creativity to bring it to life. And I think that, even though I consider myself someone who sometimes lacks creativity, the result turned out much better than I expected.

Este fue un proyecto que se basaba en crear unas fotografías distintas a lo que normalmente hacía, usando como referencia alguna frase de una canción y así tenía que llevar esa frase a algo más visual, lo cual es un reto bastante interesante, pero que también te permite utilizar la creatividad que tienes para crearlo y creo que, aunque me considero una persona que a veces peca de poca creatividad, el resultado fue bastante mejor de lo que esperé.

When developing the photographs, I focused on a style that evoked a cinematic feel, with strong shadows and a contrast created by the small light source illuminating the subject, in this case, an ice cube containing a small flower, which was slowly melting as I took the photos, so I had to work quickly.

Para el revelado de las fotografías, me centré en un estilo que diese ese estilo de cine, con fuertes sombras y manteniendo un contraste con esa pequeña fuente de luz que iluminaba al protagonista, que en este caso fue un cubo de hielo con una pequeña flor dentro de sí, el cual se iba derritiendo lentamente mientras hacía las fotografías, por lo que tuve que actuar de manera veloz.
