A joke that has a large element of truth about it.

This one is very very good and it was from Peter the Hungarian over at the Harry’s Place blog in their April Open Forum thread, I liked it so much that I thought I would share it with you.
"A man walks into a luxurious restaurant and is greeted by a perfectly dressed robot with artificial intelligence. She says to him: — Excuse me, sir, but all tables are occupied, and you’ll have to wait half an hour. However, if you’d like, the restaurant will treat you to a drink at the bar, and we can chat a bit to make the wait more pleasant. Somewhat surprised, the customer agrees. Then the robot asks: — Could you tell me your IQ? … I’m here to know what to talk to you about. The man replies: — It’s 160. From that moment on, for the next half hour, the robot effortlessly and politely conversed about the latest cultural events, the world economy, analysis of global market trends, and the most recent achievements in science and technology.
Deeply impressed, the customer decides to return a few days later. This time, to test the robot’s reaction, he tells it that his IQ is 90. Now the robot talks only about football, goals scored by the national team, the latest gossip from television and show business, the most popular TikTokers’ recent videos, and recent plane crashes and hijackings.
Overflowing with curiosity, the customer returns a few days later for the third time. This time he tells the robot that his IQ is only 40. Then the robot leans toward his ear and whispers confidentially: — It’s all because of the Zionist conspiracy. The Jews control the media and the world economy. Free Palestine."
You can find Peter the Hungarian and other fascinating and interesting people over at Harry’s Place, probably the only decent centre left British site that I pay attention to these days. Here’s the link: https://hurryupharry.net/2026/04/01/april-happy-easter/
