A coffee from my homeland

That first sip of coffee in the morning is a must, but I don’t mind repeating that ritual several times a day ❤️☕

That’s what happened one night at De la Casa Gourmet, a little arty spot serving great food and specialty coffee in Cumbres de Curumo, Caracas.

I ordered a marrón. It has more black coffee than milk, which gives it that color. In Paris, I always had a hard time ordering this type of coffee, but I finally managed it after several attempts, hahaha.

At De la Casa Gourmet, they serve Café Tierra Mía, a Venezuelan specialty coffee grown in Barquisimeto, Lara state. I must say it’s delicious. It has body and a bitterness that lingers after you take a sip. I loved it. They sell it in beans and ground, in case you want to buy some to take home and keep enjoying it there or wherever you like.

I paired the coffee with pizza, and as we chatted away, it turns out that Iván Fraga Martín, my sister-in-law’s husband, is the creator of much of the photographic content posted on the shop’s Instagram; so I told him, “Why don’t you take a picture of us?” and that’s how the photographer ended up being photographed.

En De la Casa Gourmet sirven Café Tierra Mía, un café de especialidad venezolano cultivado en Barquisimeto, estado Lara. Debo decir que es delicioso. Con cuerpo y un amargor que perdura después de sorber. Me encantó. Lo venden en grano y molido por si deseas comprar para llevar y seguir degustando en casa o donde gustes.

Acompañé el café con Pizza, y conversandito, conversandito, resulta que Iván Fraga Martín, esposo de mi cuñada, es el creador de muchos de los contenidos fotográficos publicados en el Instagram del local; así que le dije, pues que nos tomen una foto a nosotros y así quedó el fotógrafo fotografiado.

Bueno, por ahora es todo queridos amantes del café. Si tienen oportunidad de probar Café Tierra Mía, no se arrepentirán.
