Hello Hive

It's a beautiful new day and I am so restful and relaxed, more importantly as I didn't go to farm today out of some serious body ache. I had my breakfast, some drugs and sound sleep before I felt better all together.

I honestly didn't know that I will be engaged in any sewing activities today not until my friend called to ask if her bubu dress was ready.
This came as a surprise for me because I had planned to sew this particular dress next week thinking that the due date for delivery of this dress is on 21st which she had told me that she needs the dress for a Wednesday service.
I must have missed the day she said she needed the dress. The dress is actually due to be worn today. This emergency struck me hard. While I had thought that I could use the entire day to rest this came up out of nowhere
I reach out to my best friend and seamstress, she asked me to bring the dress for her to help me out. Although she stays some distance away I feel better to visit her and have her help me out with this.
While I cut out a part of the dress, she continued with the stitching. Since it was a collective work, we were able to complete this dress in just two hours.
I'm grateful to have @deborastitches as a friend. She often times assist me with some sewing especially when I have a complicated design that I am unable to interprete and replicate well.
Interpreting some fashion illustration designs can be a bit tasky. Working together with her is oftentimes a blessing.
The Fabric print is a lovely one
I had advised that we mix it with a plain fabric while my friend desired that we use any of the other colors on the outfit.
We added the black to the neckline and sleeve hem.

Then cut out the bubu shape of size 8 Stitche the front and back piece, attached the sleeves and this is what we have made in just about 2hrs.

Now I learnt how important it is to set reminder of cloth collection and other timing that will keep one abreast of customers demands rather than an emergency attempt at the most not convenient time
