My new dragon ‘Zyrx the Emberglass’ in the Splinterlands market
Those who play Splinterlands regularly know how much fun it is to have a good card in your deck or collection in this game. Especially when the card is a powerful dragon. For several days, I was roaming around the market to buy a new card that would bring some change to my battle strategy. After much deliberation, today I finally bought the ‘Zyrx the Emberglass’ card. There was a kind of excitement in my mind while buying the card, because the cards of the dragon element are always very effective in turning the tide of the game.

I bought this card for about $ 2.81. Although the price is not very high in the current market context, as a regular player, it is a big investment for me. The first thing that surprised me after receiving the card was its design and stats. It is a 10 mana card. It is naturally made for high-mana battles. Just looking at the card, you can tell it is a beast. Its 5 melee attacks and 2 magic attacks make it stand out from the rest. Usually, we see a card that either attacks melee or magic, but Xyrax has the ability to attack both types of attacks at the same time, which can be quite confusing for the opponent.
However, when I entered the battlefield after purchasing the card, my experience was a bit mixed. To be honest, I have played a couple of battles using the card, but I have not yet seen its devastating form or any big difference in the game results. Maybe it is because of my current league, or I have not yet learned to use it in the right combination. In Splinterlands, it is not only not enough to have a good card, but also to place it at the right time and position. Maybe I have not yet created that ideal situation for Xyrax.

If we talk about the card's abilities, then the first thing we have to say is 'Flying' or the ability to fly. The blue wing symbol on the card indicates that it can attack from above the ground. As a result, the opponent's physical or melee attacks are missed by 25 per cent. Especially when an 'Earthquake' rule is played, this card can be a lifesaver for me. It also has a special ability called 'Incendiary'. Like a volcano of fire, this ability starts working from round 2. It burns the enemy and reduces their health by 2 per round. This burning effect has the possibility of spreading to other units. I think, in a big battle where the opponent has a lot of health, this incendiary ability can be a trump card.

Speaking of Xyrax's defence, its 10 health and 4 armour will help it survive on the field for a long time. With 4 speeds, it's not too slow either. When I was looking at the card's level chart, I noticed that its armour and abilities become more formidable as it increases in level. Once it reaches level 2, its armour becomes 5, and a new ability is added. And if it can reach level 4, it will probably become one of the most powerful cards in the game. Although I'm currently using it at level 1, I have long-term plans to make it even stronger.
Many people might say that buying a card for 10 mana is a wise move. Because high-mana battles are often unavailable. But in my opinion, this dragon will greatly strengthen my lineup whenever the opportunity arises. After buying a card, I often feel like wasting my money. Because I can't win all the matches right away. But I believe that every card in the game has a certain time. Xyrax the Amberglass might become the secret weapon in my deck that I use in special situations.

In fact, buying a new card in Splinterlands means learning a new strategy. I don't know how much this dragon will help me rank up in the coming days, but I want to keep experimenting with it. Card prices often go up and down, but dragon cards of this type of rare and legendary group always carry nobility. Xyrax has further increased the addiction to collecting cards, which is a separate addiction from playing the game. Even though I haven't seen any magic or charisma in it for now, I'm not disappointed. I'm waiting for the right rules and the right mana battle, where Xyrax will destroy the opponent with his flames.

In conclusion, I'll say that I'm getting a kind of mental satisfaction by buying this card for $ 2.81. Learning new things and trying to win battles with new things is the real fun of this game. Those of you who play Splinterlands know that a new card means new possibilities. I believe that Xyrax the Amberglass will open the door to those new possibilities for me. Win or lose, I hope that my love for the game and the power of this dragon will combine to have a great time. See you on the Battle Ground!
