Why Did Jesus Had To Be Baptized. MCGI TOPIC REVIEW
https://youtu.be/PTc3HPscd14?si=jrWpxnKX7gG_3Tw5 The Lord Jesus Christ instructed His disciples that they should be baptized. Baptism is one of the doctrines which was handed over to the church. The Master said that disciples should be made from all the nations of the world. This is what we refer to as the Great Commission. It is regarded as the Great Commission because it is the greatest assignment which was given to the church. We do not have any other assignment as the disciples of Jesus Christ on earth than to make disciples of all nations.
When the disciples are made, they are to be taught all those things which we have learnt from the Master. He said: teaching them to observe all things, whatsoever I have commanded you. The things which we have learnt from our Master, that is what we are going to pass on to those whole will come to believe in Jesus through our gospel.
Baptism becomes a necessity because the Master commanded us to do so. He said that everyone who believes should be baptized. There is no joy in being an obedient disciples. If you are disobedient, then you are not truly a disciple. Obedience is the initial response of a true disciple.
Jesus Christ did not need to be baptized. He had no need for salvation. He was not a sinner. But as a good Master, he left us an example by accepting baptism. We are shown through this action of his, that it is good to obey. He told John the Baptist the so it becometh them to fulfill all righteousness.
