Is Engagement Required For Baptism. MCGI TOPIC REVIEW
https://youtu.be/EdoRxvBVMLI?si=eMA-aHegKoRZjhg5 Baptism and marriage are all important to our lives and our souls. Though I would say that baptism is far more important than marriage. I am drawing my conclusion from what the Bible says. The Bible says that it will not profit any person anything if such a person will own the whole world but lost his soul in hell. Baptism points towards the salvation of the soul. It is very important to follow towards secure an eternity for our souls in the kingdom of God than to possess any treasure in this world. Being baptized has an eternal value than any other thing we can achieve on earth.
The subject of engagement is what every young person or intending couple anticipates. There could scarcely be any person who would say that getting married is not what he or she loves. It is a fulfilling thing to be married. There is no sin in getting married. Because marriage is not a sinful venture in anyway, someone who wants to be baptized can still get engaged. The two do not stop each other. We can get engaged and at the same time, being baptized is not going to be truncated.
The only condition with which a person can be baptized is for the person to receive the doctrines of Jesus Christ and believe in them. The Master himself said that whosoever believe should be baptized. It by believe in Jesus Christ that one can become a candidate that is qualified for baptism. As a christian who wants to obey the teachings of Jesus Christ, it is very important to accept baptism if that person has not been baptized.
