The Erosion of Values: How Society's Silence is Fueling Moral Decay.
A lot of things are happening in our world today that's making me feel somehow worried. And I'm more worried because all of us are beginning to see it as nothing. No one is talking down on it, we are seeing it as what's in vogue and the society is getting more decayed, yet we are less concerned.

Talk of the way a lot of people now dress, not in their homes or the corners of their room, but in the street, and on the internet. Talk of how a lot of us now have no iota of respect for elders, people now bash and talk down on elderly people online as if...I don't even know. A lot of things has changed and is changing and most annoying or funniest part is, if you try to talk about it they see you as old-school or laugh at you. I agree that there's freedom, but then we shouldn't forget discipline as well.
And when we talk about who the blame of this moral decadence should be on, personally I feel the blame should be on everyone and everything, the society, the parents, the social media and the individual themselves.

A lot of parents today are too busy trying to survive and cater for the home that they have little or no time for their children, now the media itself has made things worse that you can't really see something good to learn on the surface, open a social media account today and see what you've greeted with, the first few videos that will come your way are nothing to write home about, and that's where this children spend the most hours of their day seeing things that shouldn't be in the open being flaunt without shame online. And when our young ones begin to see these things online, to them they feel that's how it is supposed to be.
The society itself has lowered its expectations, there was a time those that are elderly in our street would correct us and call us to attention for certain things that we say or do or on our dressings, but today there's nothing like that, a lot of them will just shake their head and say it wasn't like that while they were growing up, and they also won't want to talk just so they wouldn't be disrespected or labeled as "judging."

Personally, I hold the believe that change can happen, as it is constant. It might not be easy though, but it is possible. But that change my ust first start from the individual and the home. Parents should do better at teaching their wards morals.
Our schools should as well go beyond teaching English and chemistry but also tech subjects that promote good morals and characters(some schools are doing that though), the social space as well should be regulated and must focus on promoting positive things and not just all about views, engagements and attentions. And the individual themselves should learn to take responsibility for whatever they do.
It is possible if we all choose, or if the greatest percentage of us choose to do and stand for what's right. Slowly, the remaining percentage will change too if we correct them with love and make them see what's right.
