Yes, there is truly one Bible that we know and can trust. However, what we have today are different copies of ancient manuscripts that reflect that one original Bible which God inspired His prophets and holy men to write. For example, there are very old manuscripts, such as the Codex, which date back over 1,700 years.
The truth is, the Bible itself is one. But confusion has come because some people did not obey God. They added to or removed from His Word, and this has affected some modern translations.
In the book of Matthew 5:18, it says: "For verily I say unto you, till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled." This verse warns us clearly not to add to or take away from God’s Word.
Some groups, such as the Jehovah’s Witnesses, have made changes in their translation of the Bible. For instance, certain words like “church” are replaced with “congregation,” and “God” is rendered as “Jehovah.” These changes reflect human interpretation rather than the original wording, which can lead to misunderstanding.
To remain faithful and committed to God, we must not add to or alter His Word based on our own ideas or interests. The true Bible is the one inspired by God—not versions shaped by personal opinions.
May the Lord continue to bless us all.
