Since we have added hens and roosters, the breed in question is the White Leghorn. An extremely prolific breed in terms of eggs.
But we wanted a domestic breed that is more resistant.
Do you have a favorite breed of chicken?
Since the chickens have arrived from the farm.
Early this morning my wife went to bring home the chickens. Since the frame of the old chicken coop had rotted, it had lasted for many years. Yesterday I was forced to quickly make a chicken coop in the coop. The big chickens are in a separate section. But since these are small chickens, they don't need all that space. And since they are small, I had to add two light bulbs to keep them warm.

But the part that I intended and partitioned, my wife reduced even more. Because of heating
. I used an old table board and an old wooden roller blind and simply screwed them together. I added a few more slats from above and that's it.
We always add all the 75W bulbs. Generally there are also stronger bulbs, but these turned out to be ok, because as the chickens grow, we open up more and more space for them and then we move those bulbs so that they are lit everywhere and warmed up.
The old bulb is in the reading because it heats more than it gives light.Since they don't have their own hen, the bulbs will be lit all the time.
Since my son loves chickens, nothing can happen without him being there. And he's already found his favorite chicken. He wanted to bring it into the house, but we convinced him not to.

Now all we have to do is be patient and feed and water regularly.
