11 April 2026, Freewriters Community Daily Writing Prompt Day 3070: a funny tradition

A funny tradition People are made up of memories, stories, cultures, traditions, and customs. Venezuela is a country brimming with many traditions, including music, gastronomy, entertainment, and much more. We love traditions, especially the fun ones, marked by the seasons in which they are celebrated, such as December and February when Christmas and Carnival are celebrated. Carnival isn't only celebrated in February; sometimes it's in March. People enjoy it to the fullest. It's a tradition that transcends age, gender, and social class, encompassing many people who love to have fun. Here, Carnival is celebrated with water fights, the selection of queens, parades, floats, and all kinds of costumes. We're so fond of having fun that not having a costume doesn't stop us. We improvise characters with rings and body paint, but we definitely live up to the fun traditions of our town, especially the festive ones marked by specific seasons, like the months of December and February when we celebrate Christmas and Carnival. Carnival isn't only celebrated in February; sometimes it's in March. People enjoy this fun tradition to the fullest. It's a celebration that doesn't discriminate based on age, gender, or social class; it encompasses many people who like to have a good time. Here, we play Carnival with water, splashing each other, with the election of queens, dance troupes, floats, and all kinds of costumes. We're so fond of having fun that not having a costume doesn't stop us. We improvise characters with rings and body paint, but we definitely live up to the fun traditions of our town.

..Una tradición divertida Los pueblos se hacen de memorias, historias, culturas, tradiciones y costumbres, Venezuela es un país cargado de muchas tradiciones como música, gastronomía, diversión y pare usted de contar. Nos gustan las tradiciones sobre todo las tradiciones divertidas marcadas por las épocas en las cuales se celebran como es el caso de los meses diciembre y febrero cuando se celebran la navidad y las fiestas carnestolendas. Carnaval no solo se celebra en febrero en algunas ocasiones es en marzo, la gente disfruta al máximo es una tradición que no distingue edad, sexo y mucho menos clase social abarca muchas personas que les gusta divertirse. Aquí se juega carnaval con agua, con elección de reinas, comparsas, carrosas y disfraces de toda clase. Somos tan dados a la diversión que no tener un disfraz no nos detiene, improvisamos personajes con aropos y pinturas en el cuerpo, pero de que vivimos las tradiciones divertidas de nuestro pueblo las vivimos las tradiciones sobre todo las tradiciones divertidas marcadas por las épocas como es el caso de los meses diciembre y febrero cuando se celebran las navidades y los carnavales.
