Hello guys,😉
Today, I am sharing our recent visit to a miniature park in Elsterwerda, Germany also called "kleinen Lausitz" which is directly translated to "little Lusatia". On this day, we celebrated my daughter’s 7th birthday.
It was a simple celebration for her. In the morning, I made pancakes and bought some Easter donuts, then placed seven candles on top of them. After breakfast, we surprised her with gifts.
It was just a simple morning with breakfast and a small surprise, but in her eyes, it was already a big reason to be grateful. I could clearly see how happy she was with the presents she received.
After that, we drove to the miniature park. It took about 1 hour and 30 minutes from where we live—just the right travel time for a simple and fun little adventure.
Here are a few glimpses of the miniature castles, schools, towers, city halls, churches, and some kids’ activities inside the park.
There is still so much more to see—especially the miniature buildings that I wish I had been able to capture—but for now, let me share some of the beautiful and intricate “big-little” creations that Elsterwerda has to offer.
These miniature buildings are exact replicas of old historical buildings from all over Brandenburg, a state in northeastern Germany.
The miniature park is located in Elsterwerda, a town in the Elbe-Elster district in southwestern Brandenburg, Germany.
this is the famous State Theatre of Cottbus. It has its own ensemble presenting plays, operas, operettas, musicals, orchestral concerts and ballet.
This post mill is a technical monument located in the eastern industrial area of the Brandenburg town of Elsterwerda, in close proximity to the Miniature and Adventure Park established in 2007, not far from the Black Elster River.
It is the last remaining post mill in the town. Inside, there is an exhibition featuring containers, products, and tools used in the everyday operations of the mill.

And of course, there were many other things to do inside the park.
There is a park railway with a 680-meter track that tours the miniature landscape. Sadly, we were not able to ride the train. As much as we wanted to stay longer, the cold weather was already telling us it was time to go home.
There were still so many more attractions to explore, like the playgrounds and active play areas. One highlight is the adventure knight’s castle, which includes climbing walls, slides, a sandpit, a jumping castle, a trampoline, and even a “path of senses.”
There is also the Rennstrecke & Go-Karts—a 170-meter Mini-Lausitzring for model cars and a separate track for children’s go-karts. My daughter had so much fun riding one of the small go-karts. It was actually quite funny to watch because she has a typical Filipina size, so she could only ride the smaller carts—her legs are still too short for the bigger ones 😁
For nature lovers, there are beautiful gardens, including a rosarium with over 750 types of roses, a bonsai park, a fruit orchard, and even a maze. There are also animal enclosures, such as a petting zoo, a bird and pheasant aviary, and a squirrel enclosure.
The park also offers indoor and outdoor restaurants, serving typical German snacks like different varieties of sausages and fries like Bockwurst mit Pommes (sausage with fries). We tried Fischstäbchen mit Pommes (fish sticks with fries), which comes with unlimited dips in three options: mayonnaise, mustard, and ketchup. They also have crêpes, sandwiches, and ice cream.
After enjoying our meal at the restaurant, we drove back home and had some ice cream again as a little treat 😊
For those who would like to visit and fully enjoy this park, I recommend coming in the summer—probably between June and August.
As of now, the weather is still not very favorable for visiting. There are only a few animals to see, as many are still staying inside their shelters. Some flowers, like the roses, as well as the fruit orchards and bonsai plants, have not fully bloomed yet during this spring season.
Otherwise, here is the map of the place for those who are curious and would like to explore this beautiful miniature park.
Thank you so much for visiting my blog. Until next time! 🌸
