Hello, how are you? Every time I have eyed a new hobby and gotten good at it, and I wanted to be serious about it, I have tended to always, little by little, buy the materials that I needed. LOL. I used to have 5 materials in total.
The one I am talking about is book binding. I used to sell handmade sketchbooks, but stopped due to personal reason I stopped hehehe. But when I get my confidence back, I will eventually.
My mom is my number one client lately, with 100% voucher LOL, I made her about two bookbinding projects, and I really enjoyed it so much.
All My Orders:
Let's Unbox!
When I was still hunting for my bookbinding materials, I always though that the color of the ribbon should be the same as the color of the sketchbook, but I thought to myself that is too much of a ribbon to buy so I go with the universal color the cream one, I bought another one because I though the one I have before is not enough and I am confident that I have stock on me in case.
I use it for my sketchbook making. Look how it blends with the paper.
I never thought I would need these clips on my bookbinding, but I really do. When I was still starting, I used to use heavy books like an encyclopedia and a dictionary, which is good, but this one is better.
I use these not only for bookbinding but for my other craft too, like these small packages I am making.
These small clips are very useful to me too. I like to use them to flatten small sketchbook signatures.
Use for clipping on small packaging, too LOL.
I bought the rubber hammer and this steel ruler. I bought them because it is cheap. I saw this one being used by a bookbinder crafter. I always watch so I bought one for myself, to my surprise, I use it already when I am making bookbinding for my mom.
As for the ribbon, I bought a thread I can use with any sketchbook color I make. The one I got from my mom's collection of thread is gone, so I bought one for myself, and I guess this will take me some time to finish.
Look how clean it looks when I use the same color as the sketchbook paper.
Next are this sander and sandpaper, these two are very important in bookbinding.
Sometimes when making a sketchbook, those papers I fold tend not to be equally correct in alignment, so sander and sandpaper will fix that for you.
These are all the materials I ordered.
See you at my next unboxing.
Thank you for visiting, see you on my next blog. :D
Please take care of your mental health as well.
I hope you are okay today :))
