Greetings to all my StreetArt friends. A few weeks ago, I took these photos in a community in downtown Caracas. The hands caught my eye, as I had recently shared another piece depicting working hands. And then, I happened upon this mural with the same representation of labor, but this time the product is coffee. It has a very meaningful title: La Trilla (The Threshing).

La Trilla Y Su Mural Un saludo para todos los amigos de StreetArt. Hace unas semanas tomé estas fotos en una comunidad situada en el centro de la ciudad de Caracas. Me llamaron la atención las manos, ya que algunos días les presenté otra obra que representaba las manos trabajadoras. Y casualmente me encontré este mural con la misma representación de la fuerza de trabajo, pero el producto es el café. Delicadamente tiene un nombre muy significativo: La Trilla.
La Trilla is a very popular neighborhood located in the Altagracia parish. This area is known for its history; coffee plantations once existed here, and today the organized community safeguards the techniques used in coffee production, a legacy passed down from generation to generation. Although the area had been somewhat neglected, it has been restored, and this space, which was once a garbage dump, now beautifies the community. Adjacent to it is a plaza that was built for the enjoyment of its residents.
La Trilla es un barrio muy popular; está ubicado en la parroquia Altagracia. Esta zona es conocida por su historia; en este lugar existieron haciendas de café, y hoy en día la comunidad organizada resguarda las técnicas que se utilizaron en la producción del café, siendo un legado transmitido de una generación a otra. Aunque el sector estaba un poco olvidado, ya lo han ido restaurando y este espacio, que antes era un botadero de basura embellece ahora la comunidad. Adyacente a él se encuentra una plaza que construyeron para el disfrute de sus habitantes.
