Hello everyone. How are you today? I hope all is well with you and your family. During Songkran Festival and Thai New Year, various traditions have been handed down through generations. However, my family and I don't follow all the traditions, we just pick the ones we like. Such as tradition to show respect to the elderly by pouring scented water or other water on their hands and offer things to elderly, make merit and pay respects to the buddha image with monks at the temple, sprinkle water onto the buddha images at various places and house, And other. Additionally in some villages in Northern Thailand, there are also traditions of worshipping spirits house within the house and worshipping the spirits hall of village. My family and village too, We have the tradition of worshipping spirits house within the house and worshipping the spirits hall of village on today. Some villagers in the village worship the spirits house in own house this morning, Then later in the morning, some villagers helped prepare offerings to worship at the spirits hall of village. Then in the afternoon, there will be the religious ceremony to worship the village's spirits hall. But unfortunately my wife and I did not participate in the religious ceremony to worship the village's spirits hall the afternoon. We have to take close care of our autistic son this afternoon. But I take photos the atmosphere of the villagers working together to prepare things for the religious ceremony to worship the village's spirits hall later in this morning.
The villagers and my family prepared offerings (offerings in the Northern Thai style).
