$50,000,000 to spend

I am not really into cars, to the extent that I don't even know the names of the latest cars. However, this does not mean I do not want to ride in cars in the future. Of course I'll have a car! 😅

Some months ago, Victor Osimhen, one of the top Nigerian football stars, acquired a car worth millions of euros, and that raised a lot of concerns online. Many people attacked him, saying he does not know what to spend his money on, because that kind of car is not something that can be driven just anywhere, especially in Nigeria. Also, considering the nature of his job, he may not even have the time to drive it. Above all, they argued that the money he spent on buying the car could have been used to lift one million Nigerians out of poverty. I, too, joined them in criticizing the football star for not knowing what to use his money for, because the car seemed like a total financial mistake. But what can I do? That is simply how rich men spend their money.

Now, if I were to spend $50,000,000 as a rich man, I mean by doing or buying the kinds of things they usually buy, the following are what I would do:

Buy three private jets and park them at the airport: I got to know that parking one’s jet at the airport comes with a huge cost, and I often wonder how rich men feel comfortable buying private jets that they may not use more than once in a year, yet still pay enormous parking fees at the airport. To show that I have money and do not want to spend like a poor man, I would buy three private jets and park them at the airport. If Nigerians happen to hear about this, the internet will not rest for a full month.

I love how the songwriters in "If I Get Money Ehh" played with words. I mean Magnito and Patoranking. Imagine one saying he would make Lionel Messi a goalkeeper at Arsenal F.C. just because of his money. I would do even more than that. In fact, I would buy clubs like Manchester United F.C. and Manchester City F.C., not for the income they generate, but simply to have my name as the owner.
