The first night… is always the quietest.

Frederick sat alone in the living room…
Staring at the closed door across the hallway.
(Soft creaking sound)
Narrator:
Stella had been in her room for hours.
No movement. No sound.
Too quiet.
(Clock ticking… midnight sound)

Then… he heard it.
A whisper.
(Faint whisper effect)
Frederick (whispering):
Is she… talking to someone?

(Heartbeat sound increases)
